Lil' Leapin' Leon

That is the first time I have ever seen an Osman transfer story. Amazing really for a very decent ball player.

Someone has been on the loud mouth soup this weekend and been allowed near the printing presses!! Christ on a bike! - i do like Leon, but as a team pushing for more top 5, than top 10 - he isn't a player you'd see in the City, Spurs or Liverpool side, is he?

Hes not 1st team and I admit im not his greatest fan, I find him very average at times, but other times he reminds me of an English Messi.

Hes a loyal lad, keeps his head down and never moans, love players like that, so yes unless its BIG money, I dont see the need to ever get rid.

I do think it would be a good move for him.

His attitude is indeed immense. Both on the pitch and off of it; a model player and Evertonian.

Leon is the bollocks, blue through and through and from what you read a great guy to have around, always joking and cheering the rest of the lads up.

Play him in the centre, and give him rest when needed, and he's a cracking little player to have. Don't want him going as much as I want Pienaar going.

Take it if over 7 mill otherwise well worth keeping hold of. He bossed chelsea in feb along with a few other games around that time.

Exactly. We're all in agreement I think that it would be a good thing for him. Every team has players that are good, some times great replacements as for a first XI player, just like Leon. Liverpool's is Lucas.....

I'd prefer Leon a billion times over

He should go get some Sun, play for someone else at the highest level before he gets shipped off.

Who plays for one club their whole life anymore anyway?

BORING

jesus. First off we are talking about Everton. Secondly, one club footballers have my huge respect. In an age of players riding roughshod over fans emotions by flipping club alliegances over the next pound of flesh on the horizon it warms the cockles of my heart to see such a loyal local born player still with the team he joined as a kid (even if he does move on).

I guess some people don't understand. But then you have fans that move between clubs at a moments notice these days; to whomever is winning. I suppose that's progress. Hence the world seems divided into a few homogenous groups of global united, chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Inter, Real and Barca fans.

I'll chip in with his bus fare. Good move for us to see him go to sunny shores. Hope it is true and Moyes does not mess about wanting silly money.

Another one. We as fans, tend to get right pissed off when a player ditches us at the first sign of money. We'll **** them off on forums and say there's no such thing as loyalty. And yet when the shoe is on the other foot, some of us act the same, forgetting what a great servant Ossie has been for the club over the years.

Disgusted by this attitude. If I was a player looking for a club, this side of the everton fan base would seriously put me off.

The lads been here since he was 14, is a local lad, a true blue (even if he supported the dark side when he was a nipper), has had almost 200 appearances and scored near to thirty goals - and you lot can't wait to throw that back in his face, at the first sign of a few million.

what kind of fans have we got these days?

Osman finally won me over this season, I'd be made up if he went and ended his career with a purple patch in Serie A. Then maybe he'd finally get the recognition he deserves from opposition fans.

That's more like it. He's a valuable member of the squad. I doubt anyone would begrudge him a move to a league perhaps more suited to his style, but this "I'll take the money" attitude grates. We should try to keep him, but if he wants to go (which he probably doesn't) we shouldn't stand in his way (provided the money is right) as he has always given his utmost for the club.

He is the perfect squad player for us. Never complains when he is out of the side, always does a good job when he is in it.

He knows the club and understands the supporters.

How easily we forget his golden moments like this.

Indeed this. EVERY team needs someone like him. I truely mean that. Nothing worse than having 7 moaners on the bench
