Another concern for me is the World Cup.

That always precipitates a massive game of managerial chairs so any potential targets might want to see what happens after that.

Plus some major clubs are going to be headhunting a honcho come summer.

Real Madrid, Chelsea......probably Arsenal as well.

Spurs even, if Poch becomes a target for Real.
FS will be available.
.

The only thing is the wheels have come off at Burnley since then so it should not be as daunting a task as it would have been in the autumn.

On the other hand.....if a team is on a long winless run, what better opponent to face this weekend

They nearly got the 3 points on Saturday!!!

I do believe that the next appointment will not be more of the same.
Sam was never more than a short term appointment at either six or eighteen months.

I don't believe it will be Fonseca or Silva.... I think Moshiri may have been burned once too often .
I believe it will be a high profile appointment and I still harbour hopes for Emery if the rumours prove true that he is on his way out of PSG.... but that is my wishful, super optimistic hope.

More chance of Allardyce staying for another year than us getting either Emery or Fonseca. We're Everton; that's basically a nobody in terms of modern-day success to these managers. Why waste valuable years of your career at a relegation-threatened team that isn't going to win anything for years? They won't switch PSG or Shaktar for Everton just for a couple of million more per year.

Nobodies gonna switch from PSG to Everton, thats for damn sure, but considering a Shaktar manager will be getting paid abar 300k a year and the Everton job pays 6m a year, I suspect Paulo would swim over here, but its not a choice of Shaktar or Everton, lots of clubs will be after the boy in th Summer.

Shaktar is a big club though. Any sauce for him being on abar 300k a year? They are always in the CL and thus earn pyar money, and they have loads of top quality Brazilian internationals. Why would he be on so little?

No sauce at all, its based on nothing but pure guesswork.

Its only really the bigger managers that earn the bigger dough, clearly my 300k isnt right, but I would be surprised if the fella earns more than 1m. I think we forget when we live in this Premiership bubble, that apart from 5-6 managers who manage top clubs on the continent, most leagues pay their players and managers buttons, thats why so many cant wait to jump on the Premier League gravytrain.
