Meltdown ? What part do you disagree with ? Sorry I am not Gordon Ottershaw but as a fan of over 50 years I am sick of some of the wilfully blind "fans" on here, anything negative must be a RS, grow up, engage and open your eyes to issues we (and many other clubs have) not just put your head in the sand and dream of the 80's.

Make sure you’re arriving early Saturday and leaving late Sunday. Kick off not confirmed and since the RS will definitely be in the next round of the champions league (save a 0-6 versus Porto....) there’s a 50-50 chance the game gets moved to Saturday instead of Sunday. If it’s saturday it’s also likely to be early kick off.

cheapest hotel in town is the Tune in Castle St. ,dunno much about hostels etc. but there is a Youth Hostel near Albert Dock.

Unless you're a Beatles fanatic I'd give the Beatles story a swerve.

All the museums already mentioned plus the tate is worth a look.

You mentioned you're on a budget but getting budget accommodation outside the centre be a false economy if you need to get to and from thw city a few times.

Why, out of interest?

I'd definitely recommend the woirld museum for the Terracotta warriors.

I'd visit the Beatles Story.

Just take in the atmosphere around town on Derby day, get out early and get some breakfast - head to a few bars around town and get yourself in a pub around Goodison well before kick off.

The match is usually heart breaking, but the day is great!

Ouch mate, I think you've got one of the obstructed views there.
