Signing too many players is just repeating the same mistake.

We need a left back, we need a dominant midfielder... those two are absolutely essential.

We have a very good keeper, an excellent right back and I think with Holgate, Keane and Funes Mori we probably need to bring in one more .. or you could go with Jags and /or Williams s fourth choice.

We have Walcott on the right side of attack and Lookman as well. Hopefully Tosun will prove worth the money and Sigurdsson certainly offers a lot as well but probably more from the centre. We need somebody on the left to contest with Bolasie and as said before a dominant leader in midfield.

Buying loads of players isnt an issue, if you have a good manager!!!!!!!

I can’t see us spending big money in the summer, we’ve had big players to sell most other years to bring a bit of cash back in, but now we have no one of any real value.
I think we will have to be a bit ire shrewd this summer which may not be a bad thing.

It would be nice to buy 2-3 true top flight starters at CB, LB, and CM. A new manager is going to be able to use some of these guys that aren't being used now.

However many we sign, we need 4 to walk straight into the team
Centre back, left back, centre midfield. Then another attacker either a forward if Touson isn’t deemed good enough. or a wide player.

I think we need 2 new centre mids
Davies & Gana should be 3rd and 4th choice me.
The problem will be trying to ship out about 10 players and buy 5? In a World Cup year, with a new manger & dof.

I agree with those 4 positions although we don't need a dominant midfielder in the sense of a Matic. We have Gueye. What we need is someone who can control the game. Our ball retention since Barry left has been awful. We should try Sigurdsson there.

To hold the ball? He's a one-touch passing specialist. He's a trigger guy, he's not a holding midfielder. I also don't undersand the obsession with holding the ball to being with, but regardless, we don't need a Matic, we need an 8 that can move the ball from back to front. Davies is our best shot now, which is why our midfield has been better lately. We just need someone better like a Doucoure. Mix them in with a proper LB and a CB that you aren't scared to death of trying to defend anyone in space and maybe we have something.

I agree. I said to control the game not a holding midfielder.

A one touch passing specialist with a fantastic shot and great deep delivery is exactly what we need plus I believe Sigurdsson has played there before.

Davies isn't good enough to run our entire midfield and besides isn't that kind of players anyway.


Although I wouldn't mind someone who could travel with the ball as well.
