...not sure where we were after the Southampton game but i’m of the opinion the change in manager brought the victory over West Ham. I have no doubts about that but it’s just my opinion.

I think Moyes being a bottler away from home definitely helped.

I'm of the opinion that there were probably 1000 managers in the world who could keep us up. One of the easiest remits in history. Allardyce was pure panic and the stigma we now have as a club is vile.

Spot on with the stigma bit.

The moment he was appointed our reputation nose dived, which makes getting it right with the next manager doubly important.

We were 13th when Allardyce took over. We were absolutely not bottom 3.

Just for a bit of context Marco Silva in his first 14 games in the PL got 20 points with a far worse squad than Allardyce has at his disposal. In fact he took over just as Hull lost its 2 best players.

Allardyce has 19 points from his first 14 EFC games and spent nearly £50m in the process.

He's doing an incredibly average job for me.

:coffee:

There's just no grounds any more, is there?

The man in the dugout takes blame or praise for the results, surely? That’s unfair on Unsworth. Would you of blamed Allardyce if West Ham beat us??

..that’s a very fair point. I doubt very much Allardyce had anything to do with team selection for that game or that he even spoke to the players, but the transformation in application from the Southampton game is something that often happens with change. The team was in malaise, the change gave it a lift.

I have a critical benchmark of a minimum 20 points by Christmas, otherwise you’re deep in trouble. I honestly couldn’t see us getting that many, but I think we ended up with 24.

I take your point about the West Ham game, it’s well made.

He`s made a career out of being a specialist in average, hence why he`s never won anything as a manager.

And that's it, isn't it? He's never done better than average, even here.

Home wins against the likes of Palace and Huddersfield. An away win vs Newcastle.

With a squad full of internationals, and then near £50m spent in January.

He's not done a great job at any point, has he?

Absolutely everyone can see this now. It's not even an opinion any more.
