We need to be ruthless and do what is best for the long term interests of the club.
Which is why we don't want a clown like Marco Silva as our manager. If he's the answer then I want to know what the question is. We'd be better of asking Martinez to come back then bothering with Silva. Frankly I'd be broken if we as a club put our faith in either Silva or Big Sam. Neither of them are what we need long term to be even moderately successful.

Why is he a clown? His managerial record is fantastic. He's well know for being a brilliant coach. He can spot and attract players. What has happened has been unsavory. There's no doubt about that but frankly the boards of both Everton and Watford are more to blame.

It's not though mate. He's never spent longer then one single season at any club he's ever managed aside from Estoril who he only stayed with because nobody else wanted him at the time. I don't want some fluke merchant who's only claim to success is trophy's in crap leagues. I'm not arsed about how he handles himself, Watford don't derserve loyalty with the way they sack managers but Silva isn't the answer to our problems, he's simply the Ian Holloway of 2018.

Another wank defensive manager mind.

Not really mate, Klopp left behind a defense which was riddled with players either wanting out (Hummels) or broken down with injury like Subotic.

Much like Silva i don't think is an appalling defensive manager either, he was just stopped by the owners from getting the defensive players in he wanted (cb and lb) and then lost through injury key players in the spine of the team.

Don't think either is particularly good defensively mind, much as i don't think Fonseca or many Spanish/Portuguese or German coaches are - the balance is attack v defence and if the balance is overall in favour of the coach/manager

Klopp for example is a mediocre defensive manager at best, but at the other end he's good enough that it outweighs his flaws, same can be said about Mourinho in reverse, mediocre offensively but so good at organising a defence it outweighs that flaw in his game.

Key is which style fits the club/fans better, you'd think free flowing attacking footy, I'm actually not too sure with us lot though, we put up with poor but gritty performances more than we put up with entertaining but open games more i think...

All 3 to give us a better chance of getting it right

With the ownership we have i'd put it in this order

Silva, Fonseca, Simeone, Tuchel ( purely because the last two would walk within months with the mess we are from top to bottom)

in reality Simeone wouldn't go within a county road of us, Tuchel will see a bigger team offer him a job come the summer, so Fonseca is the obvious one to go for, he's not interested now then you go for Silva...

He went down with hull and Watford are in freefall

Remind me of his qualifies again?
Watford are still in 10th despite only winning 1 in 11 games. An let’s be honest who could of kept hull up? I would not mind him as a manager for the short term because anything is better then watching hoof ball with big sam. Long term I wouldn’t mind fonseca and maybe this happens if shaktar get knocked out the champions league who knows?

Big Sam hasn't exactly got us playing sexy football. Should we change again or give it to the end of the season?
I don’t know how to break this to you lads but I’ll try and be gentle.
To be a SUCCESSFUL football manager you need more than
A) Devilish good looks
B) a Sexy sounding mysterious foreign name
C) A full head of dark shiny wavy hair
D) The ability to make heavy bulky waterproof football coats look sexy
E) A sexy make the ladies swoon accent
You do however need a certain amount of tactical knowledge and football nous and the ability to
A) Stop your team being relegated
B)Win at least 1 game in every 10/11
Silva has shown he can’t do either of the above. so on purely footballing matters it’s a no for me

i dont see how he has a good record, he won 4 pl games before we tapped him up and 3 games since, not that impressive, having said that, whoever gets it is on a hiding to nothing
