Confirmed Signing Cenk Tosun

Must have taken a blow to his confidence getting subbed when a goal down. If bug Sam does not start him next week I'm afraid that will be the nail in the coffin and we will have ruined his confidence within a month of him coming (if he doesn't start I could easily see him being sold in the summer - another player ruined by our club management.)

My concern when he was being linked was that he seemed to be very slow.

He's not a bad player, but my concern after watching him twice is that he is definitely very slow. Certainly not the type of striker I'd have signed, but if we actually decide to implement a gameplan at some point, then he can become effective.

maybe like putting a really quick player who has scored over 100 goals for Arsenal next to him, rather than shoving him out on the wing, would help...

Oh [Poor language removed] off

Playing a winger on the wing is hardly the worst thing Allardyce has done.

Walcott is so much better central though - which has kind of been the whole thing all of his career.

He's a decent finisher with a lot of pace. Get him playing off Tosun and occupying centre-halves, forcing them back. Bolasie right, Gylfi left, two central mids. 4-4-bloody-2

The lack of pace is a big worry. Especially when he's so isolated up there. Great for opposition defenders to know the player you're marking won't be getting away from you.

Are we really saying 4 4 2 with our centre mids and full backs is the way to go? Especially away from home.

No faith in Kenny, Martina, Rooney or Davies to cope in that formation.
