Confirmed Signing Cenk Tosun

We literally need three new players and we'd have a squad capable of challenging for 6/7th easily. Get a long term left back, get a passer in midfield, and get a centre back. I'd even put up with Bolasie playing as long as the left back was solid and didn't require him to cover every single time. Perhaps it's time to get a left back in who can defend and isn't necessarily somebody who bombs forward all the time.

Imagine a team of Pickford, Coleman, NEW CB, Mori/Holgate, NEW LB, Gueye, NEW CM, Bolasie, Sigurdsson, Walcott, Tosun. That should be more than enough to beat anybody at home and give anybody a game away.

We are carrying too many players and that's what's costing us. You can always carry one player, like say Bolasie is having an off day or Sigurdsson isn't at the races, or maybe the striker just isn't winning anything, but when you're carrying, AT THE SAME TIME, your left back, right back, both centre backs, your defensive midfielder, his partner alongside him, plus at least one of your wingers, then it doesn't matter who is up front because they won't see the ball anyway. How can we continue carrying all these players?!

It's an absolute outrage what's going on at the moment and if it continues into middle of February I genuinely feel we'll go down. We're not too big or too good to go down. We don't create opportunities and we allow teams to create many opportunities against us. It's a deadly combination.

Why is Mori seen as the answer? He isn’t. He was a liability before he got injured. Yes, he is an Argentinian international, but it’s been well known that Argentina’s defence isn’t good enough and hasn’t been for a long time, otherwise they would be winning things. He isn’t suddenly the answer because he is injured, the same way Bolasie has come back and been infurtiating, just as he was before injury. The only injured player who will make any difference is Coleman. Holgate and a new defender might manage but Mori will not.

That goal was not about niasse, that goal is definetly about that rare clever ball rooney throwed inside, which was poor luck for cenk because he was dying for that kind of attacking organisation whole game.
Basically all the critism I see about cenk tonight is pointless. With that poor midfield, you can only hope cenk will get the ball, dribble around 3-4 guys and score a long distance goal.

Mate, we can sign who we like, but a strike force of Ronaldo, Neymar, and Messi supported by the holy trinity and sheedy wouldn't do any better. Not if they're set up like we do at the moment.

Practice passing Sam. Passing.

Got to support the guy. He is probably thinking wtf has he signed for us
He needs support from a current team that is unable to create anything.

My concern when he was being linked was that he seemed to be very slow.

He's not a bad player, but my concern after watching him twice is that he is definitely very slow. Certainly not the type of striker I'd have signed, but if we actually decide to implement a gameplan at some point, then he can become effective.

Showed some nice touches but needs to improve his movement.
yeah, loved the way he stood and watched Walcott's cross in the first half, then turned around and applauded Walcott, no movement, no anticipation, nothing, I remember watching Sandro at Stamford bridge early on this season and thinking this fella is rubbish, same applies here
