Well it was a bit like..

But we are undeniably poor all over the pitch.
Problem is:

1. We had no decent striker
2. We don't have the players or the system to create chances for the said striker.

Even lukaku would struggle with the current tactics that is being implemented right now

You could play Pele in his prime and he'd look useless out there. How are you supposed to impress when you've got utter knobheads like Ashley Williams smashing the ball directly out of play, or useless crabs like Schneiderlin refusing to play a forwards pass, or simply inept wingers such as Bolasie trying pathetic flicks and tricks instead of crossing the football or taking on defenders to play a pass? Now we've even got Kenny going backwards at a rate of knots with his either booting it aimlessly down the line to nobody, or simply passing back to Pickford because he's too scared to try anything else, and Sigurdsson who looks shell-shocked at what's going on around him and has been infected by the inability to do anything positive disease. And Martina needs no words wasted on him. Then when you bring on a supposedly attack-minded and capable player in Rooney, who then proceeds to pass free kicks directly to the opposition, then you should lose all hope immediately.

Spot on.

Would be nice for one of our new signings to hit the ground running at some point...

Hopefully he can get a goal soon and boost his confidence. We don't need an extended amount of time without him slotting.

The only thing I'd say about this is the fact the excuse of 'you could put anyone in there and they wouldn't play well' is used for most of our players. At some point some of them have got to step up and get the team playing well. That's what real quality players do.

I’d agree for Sugurdsson and Keane, but Strikers need something to happen around them, the guy didn’t have one good pass played to him today.

Things did improve when Niasse came on though.
Hope Tosun doesn't take as long to settle as Oumar did.

Poor fella must be wandering what the hell he’s done wrong to end up here, imagine getting a new job then realising that the whole place is an absolute disaster.

Someone must have warned him. I mean, come on.

He must have known what he was walking into, and is either here for a massive wage or actually thinks he can somehow pull off a miracle and score goals in this crap team and become a hero and get signed by an even bigger club.

It’s not even about him coming good. He is good, but we are crap.

He's used to players around him at at least holding the ball and showing some kind of composure and err maybe play a one two or or even anticipate a nice through pass.... hes in the wrong side for that kinda malarkey ..as screw me we are kin useless at anything resembling football..feel sorry for him and Walcott..
