The future

The bad start to last season even with the injuries we had, was due to the disruption caused by lescott being a t**t, and shitty Bullying us around in the press, and once it hit us they kept kicking us while we were down. the way we fought back through christmas showed the grit we had the season before, then we got better, better than we have been in past season's and nothing could stop us, look at that scalps we earned, Chelsea, Manu and Arsenal and a few other teams walk away fealing lucky to escape a major defeat.

This season will be different, with players fully fit and all the kids coming through, our subs bench would make other teams starting line up and their supporters would be very happy with them. How long has it been since we could say that?
And we don't have to worry about europa league games tiring an already knackered squad.
I am worse than anyone when we lose, but it is due to fustration because I know we can do so much better,
and the fact is that the best is still to come.

worse than anybody when we lose, christ I wont speak to people for days

The long term future is exciting given the wealth of young talent emerging through our excellent academy.
Short term, this season is one of expectation, meaning i expect us to win some silverware.
Here's hoping.

our biggest priorities this transfer is keeping hold of Arteta and Jags, Pienaar can and will be replaced so he is less of a worry(still would be nice to keep him but not a major worry).

while other teams have to look to completely rebuild.

Started this in another thread on young Jack Rodwell, kept editing to add bits so thought I'd start a new thread.
Is it just me or does it look like Everton are in the midst of a major rebirth, with the quality of our senior squad, the strength in depth.
Every position now has competition just look at the facts.
We now have Bily and Anichebe fighting for right wing.
Osman, Arteta and Rodwell fighting for AM.
Pienaar(at the moment) and Gueye on the left then Schepers(when we sign him)
Neville, Felli and Jonny H for DM.
Cannot remember the last time we had so many strikers at the club
Hibbo, Coleman and Neville for right back
Jags, Distan and Jonny H for CB with Duffy coming through,
Garbutt working his way to challenge Baines for his left back spot, with Bidwell keeping the pressure on both of them.

teams are lucky to have one player a season come through the ranks,
top clubs work on two or three,
Look at our youth coming through,
england youth teams = Barkley, Garbutt and Bidwell, Rodwell and Baxter.
rep ireland youth teams/senior= Duffy and Coleman.
Johan Hammer swiss u16.
Shkodran Mustafi a german youth international.
after we get him a permit Aras Abdulayev senior international level even at sixteen.
Bob Schepers (fingers crossed) dutch youth international.
Savic(kid on trail at the mo fingers crossed on that one too)swiss u17 striker.
Nathen Graig welsh U21.
And they are just the international players at the academy, nsiala and hallam hope both seeming to impress a lot of people.
There is Forshaw, Wallace and Hope Akpan all showing promise.
We are getting a great reputation all over Europe for the quality of our academy, and the influx of young talent from across the chanel is there to see.
does our future not look great or am I just looking through rose tinted specks. (y)(y)

Wolfie, this is a similar theme to my Source thread kid so yes I am feeling it too. Just need to keep our main players fit and then we've got half a chance at the 'Top4'...

Even I picked up on it and I'm about as sharp as rainman when it comes to things like that. Love the new username. subtle is the word I'm looking for.

Actually I read it as suckmyballsgoat at first. I was about to pos rep him

Seems a good opportunity to remind folk that we'll be clamping down on off-topic chit chat in the Everton forum from August.
