I've only just seen the comment Farhad made about Suarez having to bite a few players to leave Liverpool hahaha

He's also lobbed Barkley and Lukaku right under the bus which is quite nice to see if I'm honest. He's still overseen an utterly terrible period in the clubs recent history and seems to lack any real direction when it comes to the staff we've employed to do vital roles, but he's at least amused me with some of his comments.

First off, I don't believe anything Moshiri says. The man is a proven liar. Specifically, I don't believe a player dictated a managerial appointment - the idea Barkley through his agent said he needed Koeman as manager to say is ludicrous; why exactly? Had he even met the fella?

The only thing I can say for certain is true is this:

"I didn't spend as much time to keep Ross as I did Rom." - Farhad Moshiri

And that says it all.
First I've heard of Barkley wanting Koeman here?, where is that from?

I can fully believe he was using his new contract negotiations to add weight to his mate Stones being allowed to leave, which is what we were told lastnight.

Stop calling me quint, it's getting freaky.

Board/majority shareholder, what are you splitting hairs for?

It's the most honest anybody in his position has been with the fans, ever, I only wish we'd all known when those players were here so we could let them know what we thought about it.

Lad, you are the previously banned poster @The Mighty Quint , let's not play pretend.

What about the 6 goals we got from his assists mate?

Bloody hell mate, DCL, who half the forum think shouldn't be starting in the first team has got four assists this season in the league so far.
Do you seriously think if we'd had a half way decent striker last season, who wasn't called Lukaku, that he wouldn't have had six or more assists ?

I miss Rom, he's a very good player, but Walsh is right, we'd almost certainly have finished seventh without him, but we'd have been much further from sixth than we ended up being. If Rom was still playing for us, we'd be doing a damned sight better than we are, and if he'd stayed with us and we'd added quality to the squad then we'd be aiming for higher than seventh. The issue with the striker situation isn't really about Rom, it's not getting someone in with a bit of quality to replace him that's killed us. But finishing seventh this season without him isn't out of the question.

I don't think the council would be making public their support and the details of that support if the funding our end wasn't there. Anderson may be a blue but he's a politician first and this wouldn't be happening if it wasn't great for the City and his legacy. Like he said if it was the RS asking for this and it provided the same opportunities to accelerate the Liverpool waters project and create jobs etc. then they would have backed them too.... and didn't LCC provide support for that lot to build that massive hole puncher stand they’re so proud of?
The impression i get is this is far further down the line than we are making out but we are being cautious. This may be the first time we have actually learned from our previous mistakes and we are just taking it one step at a time and holding back the big reveal until the right moment. I was disappointed we didn't at least see some concept designs but I don't think we'll have to wait that long especially if the target is 2022/23.
I think it is all in place 'except' the third that Elstone will have to find, hence why they are talking about a year to secure funding and get planning. My real concern is the emphasis from him that costs are escalating (if he had said they have escalated, fine), and we have still not secured funding. If he had said costs have escalated and we are working on how to bridge the funding gap, OK. He has been working on this for years (would have need funding in place for Kirkby), and he still doesn't seem to have any secured funding at all. He also doesn't communicate a great deal of confidence in being able to secure the funding, lots of caveats in his words in contrast to Moshiri and Joe Andersons confidence.

still hurdles for us to overcome. Not least, securing all the money needed for what will be a huge financial commitment with very long-term consequences
We hope a year to secure funding and planning, and to conclude designs, and then three years to build, on a complex site. If all goes to plan, to be kicking-off, at BMD in August 2022. Committed? Yes. Optimistic? Yes, but still lots to do

The huge financial commitment, workload etc should not be coming as any surprise to him and if he's not up to it he should step aside and let someone come in who is confident in their ability to deliver this ambition.

Well I for one am quite happy with it all, Mosh is clearly bonkers, kopites are seething, Lukaku and Barkley have been shown to be manipulating scumbags. Good work

My take on Moshiri is he’s clearly a football lover but not really a football man if that makes sense. He needs and should be putting into place a team of people to run the club who know what they are doing. BK and his romantic notions of the Everton ways of old and all that need to go! not a dig at him but football isn't like that anymore, well certainly not at the top level. We need proper people in to run the club day to day who are ruthless, people who get results and command a bit of respect. The stuff about Barkley's agent came across like they'd been outwitted by some low level football parasite and it just made us sound a bit amateur. I don't mind the truth coming out about Rom and Ross but let’s not make out like we're the victim of evil agents.

I like Mosh, he speaks well, says the right things (most of the time) and comes across very earnest. Again why i think he's a football lover and not really a football man was the Jim White comment he made. He needed people around him to be honest and say 'don't do that boss'. Again it came across like he was saying ‘that wicked Jim White from the telebox made our private late night conversations public without my permission’ and it just sounded a bit novice but all this is probably all a bit of a learning curve for him as he was never top dog at Arsenal. Overall I was impressed with him.

Barkley's agent made 7m on a 15m transfer, big Joe is right, Barkley makes Rooney look like a saint.

That's thrown me a bit as well. I am not, for one microsecond, buying the idea that Barkley formulated an opinion regarding anything, let alone a preferred manager.
It's a well-established fact that the speediest thing in the universe is light speed; the only thing that comes close is the time that Ross can hold a thought...
