No chance LCC are going to pay 300 million towards a new stadium.

If thats the case it will get called in and never happen.

The budgets of councils are stripped to the bare bone as it is.

If the effect on the local economy adds more than they invest...they'll find the money.

That's how it works. May not be funding for these things over here...but multi million pound money spinners, absolutely.

This surely cant be their new funding proposal? It beggars belief.

The thing looks like a stunt to get past the AGM to make it look like progress on finances are being made. No chance the LCC are getting on board with this. None whatsoever.

Where are all the private investors Moshiri/Usmaonv could bring on board?!
I really hope we all have it wrong, but this is Everton so who knows?

Sorry have I missed something here, has anyone actually said that the original SPV which we repay plus interest for circa £300 million to LCC been userped by LCC actually funding via rate payers ?

I’ve got ya new stadium right here

Society, what an experience that was watching it for the first time as a kid in about 89 lol

Why are people celebrating us moving into the Liver Buildings like we’ve won a derby or a cup.

You know what’s more a pressing matter lads? Well we haven’t beat our local rival once in 7 years, we also about to enter our longer barren spell ever which included a word war but who cares as we are moving into the Liver Buildings

Private Eye and the rest will be all over this tomorrow. Any local MP who isn't an Evertonian isn't about to let their base revolt over something like this happen in their city, Council jurisdiction or otherwise.

The stadium died again this evening.
There must be a misinterpretation here surely?

If not, you have to say the whole of the board are fools...or just taking the piss and have been for months.

Denise Barrett-Baxendale is now discussing the plans for a Goodison Park legacy project and reveals the Board have agreed to register the site as a community asset.

“How does a proper People’s Club exit its community after 125 years?" she asks. "It’s simple. We won’t. We will never abandon our home. Everton Football Club will never leave Goodison Park.”

At no point past, present of future have the council been paying for or even lending us the money.

Good grief.

Think this place has turned in to RAWK temporarily tonight. All these good Samaritans crying about the nasty partnership between EFC and LCC lol.

Nobody is celebrating lol

Denise confirms Everton will lead a ‘Civic Inheritance Project’ at Goodison, with plans including three tower blocks, one with a view of our past: Anfield, one with a view of our present: Goodison Park, and one with a view of our future: Bramley-Moore Dock. A nursing home and nursery are also being discussed.
