If our interest in Walcott is genuine he can play up front? Niasse could be the difference between premierleague and Championship for someone like West Brom so i think 13m in the current market is a fair price.

Buy-to-Sell FC under billionaire Mr Moshiri is doing a sterling job. Successfully got rid of exceptional talents such as Deulofeu (who waltzed into Barcelona's first team squad), Stones, Barkley and Lukaku. Only really Pickford we can sell off within the next years then it'll be a clean sweep.
He waltzed into Barcelona's first team because of injury, yet did he ever play 90 minutes? He's waltzed out pretty quickly, too. They team has been dying for width - why they bought Dembele - yet he can't even make the bench. He's been so bad they've trying to sell him again. Like every previous club that has had him.

He has some talent, he's also still young, but his magic needs to find somewhere else to play

All were offered new deals and turned them down, hardly our (board/Moshri) fault is it?

Had we shown some ambition and brought better players to play around them, maybe they would have been more inclined to stay with us. We didn't put up any fight whatsoever to keep them, all sold as soon as the first club flashed the cash.

That's not true at all. For Lukaku and Stones - both agitated for moves long before they were eventually sold.

And both were sold for effectively world record prices.

In today's world once a top player starts angling to go - they all end up going in the end. All a club can do is get the best possible price. We did that for those two in particular - what we failed to do was then spend it properly.

We really did, all were offered bumper new contracts.
"Sign a new contract to play in a team mostly filled with dross"
isn't the same as
"Sign a new contract to play alongside these new great players we've signed to play alongside you"

Would Lukaku have wanted to play with Martina in the side, and Bolasie and Lennon behind him? Would Stones have wanted to end up partnering 55 year old Williams and/or Jagielka? Awful forward planning and lack of ambition at board level led to our only genuine top class players ended up leaving.

okay, outline a scenario where we spent an extra 100m, and that persuaded Stones and Lukaku not to join the Manchester clubs.

Lukaku left because we took too long to tie up the Martina deal...

He told Walsh "Look if you're not willing to pay him £150k a week I dont agree with the ambitions of this club, I dont really wanna do it but that beaut Pogba is asking me to dab and crap in LA, if you cant sign Martina who is a free agent by the time I go on hols, I am off...."

We need to be buying quality over quantity..
