no, he called him the best striker in europe for his price of 22m Euros for the actual transfer fee and an additional 1.15 million Euros as solitude share
& 500k euros if we qualify for europa OR 700k euros if we qualify for CL

& 500k euros per season for every time he scores 15 goals OR 1M euros if he scores 25.



I mean tbf, i think i'd agree with allrdyce, i think we'd find it very hard to find a better striker to get for all those terms.

He used to be a third striker in the team when Bilic was the coach and he rose to number 1 position. That requires a lot of mental strength when you had Mario Gomez, Demba Ba, Vincent Aboubakar ahead of you. Hell, even Pektemek was ahead of him who basically just tries to injure himself rather than scoring. Cenk never gave up, not even he was coming from the bench at 89th minute. Gave his all whenever he had the chance and that's why people are confident that he will continue to give his all. He might miss a couple here and there but you will never have any doubt that he did not try hard enough.

Besiktas is the champion of the league for the last two seasons and whenever the team finds space, it gets brutal so like 13-14 teams learnt to park the bus and try to hit with counter attack if they could manage. That's why Gomez scored more than 25 while the opponents still played openly and Cenk scored too few compared to him in the league and was more efficient at Champions League where opponents played an open game rather than parking the bus. Cenk is not type of a striker, yet, who can open defenses all by himself and score, but whenever he finds space, which will be more likely with Everton since I don't think your opponents will park the bus, he can score from range, jump into headers or keep the ball to get your midfield forward.

All the while, he still requires some sort of serving. He can pass his opponent on 1 on 1 but he can not just create chances all by himself.

We are witnessing the best years of Besiktas. I am sure they entertained every possibility before selling him.

Cenk was rather eager to play in EPL, you have take that into account. A halfheartedly playing player would decrease in value. Lets hope the best for both parties and enjoy watching him where he wants to play.
