I think he's looked alright so far in pre season to be fair, didn't he have some problem with vision or something like that from what I heard?

Hopefully he learns (or hopefully he learnt that already) that he shouldn't care about the fans and just do his job.

Was he loaned last season, or he spent a whole one in reserves? After his performance in Australia I would gladly wait with getting rid of him and would loan him to a Championship side, or SPL.

He's very highly rated by the club although they would sell at a bid of around £1m if offered was the very last I heard albeit not directly.

Seems he must be happy to be number 3 (or indeed a "Number Two") - otherwise he might have moved on to get a regular first team spot somewhere.

He struggled with injuries in the beginning of last season; last time he was on loan was at Nottingham Forest in March 2009, but he broke his toe after only 3 games. I seem to recall a beauty of a quote about him "being in a big club now" when he was at Forest, but can't find it.

I think Sheff Weds offered about 1mill for him three years back after a loan spelt there, we rejected it.

We would have accepted it (gladly), had it been for a mil, unfortunately it was for a quarter of that amount.

Turner is really agile and his reflexes are top notch, what makes him such a poor keeper is his reading of the game (or lack thereof). Any keeper, especially a young one, can be forgiven a few clangers, but Turner's problem is that he makes his own life harder when he positions himself in the wrong place, when he doesn't realize that there is a striker behind him, or that he needs to close down on the attacker. I've seen a reserves game in which he literally kept us in the game with 3 or 4 world class saves and was then beaten by a lazy cross that anyone would have intercepted. Yes, this may improve with more game time, however he's been with us for 7 years now (only Hibbert, Osman and Yobo have been here longer) and hasn't improved that much. Anyway, he's good enough for a 3rd choice keeper, looking at the competition, but nothing more.
