I haven't seen him at all yet. You didn't mention his heading ability, can he 'flick on' a goalies clearance to a runner or will he be
the runner. If he's a runner, get someone for £2M like Rudy Gestede from Borough(Not much on the floor but like Hickson or
Ferguson in the air). The reason for my concern for the heading ability is, our 'Backs' will never be able to 'play out' from the back,
so there's going to be plenty of 'up and unders'.
Is this an actual Rudy Gestede shout? Please tell me it isn't

Just got this gut feeling for some reason he'll be about as effective as Sandro, Kostas Mitroglou or Alfonso Alves.

Natural pessimism for everton signings these days. Thank god for jordan pickford keeping my spirits up occasionally when it comes to footy.

Anyway, finally got round to giving the boy a going over and sadly I must say, hes not the answer. He will get bullied in this league, hes quite skillful and has decent pace but strength wise its not great.

Its not totally bad, hes decent on the ball and he would play well up top in a 2, but as for a number 9 leading the line, well we see.

The 1 thing I will say is he will score goals, so its not a waste of dough, its just hes unlikely to be the monster up top I wanted.

70/30 chance of success.

Ultimately mate unless we fix the problems in terms of supply and getting support around the striker it doesn't matter much whose up top.

And to fix those problems starts at the back, with the current left backs and center backs and lack of any centre mid with the ability to run forward and pass or wide player who actually can create and get into the box, we will still have a fourth yard gap between the striker and his support.

Need a good quality left back and a wider player at a bare minimum to even half address that issue, in reality, probably need 5 including the striker which is never happening and shows how terrible our recruitment has been

They'd never be on the pitch together anyway because our club is married to the 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 formation.
Very few teams don't play some variation of a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 tbf mate

It's bread and butter. 2 wide players, 3 players in the middle and someone up top

The thing is, even Jordan Pickford was written off before he'd kicked a ball for us by many people. We just can't help ourselves. It's in our nature to go out of our way to find negatives in every single signing we make. It's been said in jest in the past, bit it's genuinely true that if we signed Messi, people would complain about his age.

But we play it with 1 or sometimes 0 wide players, no natural number 10 and a striker 40 yards away from his nearest teammate.

I was genuinely excited with all our signings in the hope it'd be a new era here. Like being punched in the face with how bad most of them have turned out at this stage, particularly michael keane.

Klaassen is the biggest one for me. As disappointing as Keane has been, you know that with an actual defence around him he can still contribute. Klaassen cost a lot of money and genuinely looks an absolutely woeful footballer with no technical or physical attributes to speak of. As big a waste of money as you're ever likely to see.

For all the Turkish media reports and record breaking numbers of internet ITKs, until the club announce it I’m still considering Tosun-off. As it were.
