I'm confident we've done more than enough to show we can be a top half side this year.

But that's it.

Get through the season now. Get to 40 points first and foremost and then see where we are from there.

All this season has done has shown just how reliant Martinez and Koeman both were on Lukaku and Barkley.
And Coleman

Fikret Orman (pres. of Besiktas) commented on the transfer of Cenk to Everton.

He said Everton made an offer but nothing is finalized yet. Also he mentioned that a Chinese club bid €35m for Cenk earlier but it was not accepted because Cenk is a valuable player and his opinions matter to him (meaning Cenk didn't want to go to China). On the bright side this means EFC's offer doesn't necessarily need to be higher than 35M, but it should be close.

So knowing the pres. what I am reading from this is:

Besiktas can sell Cenk anytime for a good fee. He is in no hurry.
Cenk definitely wants to play in EPL and he prefers Everton.
EFC bid was good but not enough, it should be higher.
Walsh had a meeting with the vice pres. earlier but there was no agreement.
Reports claiming there was an agreement but then he raised the price is not true.

Also, he is set to travel to London today for further negotiations with EFC. We will see what happens :) but be aware because he almost always gets what he wants.
ha, he's never dealt with Everton before

Besiktas President: " we want to sell to you and he wants to play for you. Your offer of 25million is good but we ask for 30million. We believe this is fair".
Bill Kenwright: " Listen, I'm a fair man and i appreciate you meeting me today. I respect you and will up our offer to 25.2million. (spits intoo hand) Shake on it"?

The chairman is tryin to pressure everton into payin more money. Who knows if a Chinese club bid or not.
If your selling a car and someone offers you say 4 grand. You say will someone had already offered 4200. They pay it or say no thanks. It's bargaining. No more

They would have taken the 35m from the Chinese but the player wouldn't go. I wonder if Tosun kept having photographs taken of himself as he went shopping in Bejing .
The player clearly has made his mind up and returning to play in Turkey is probably not an option any longer. Besiktas know this but this posturing is probably more for their fans than any real expectation of getting much more money.

If that’s true Everton either show a back bone and say this is all we’ll pay, or tell them to get lost.

As if Walsh would do that though lol

China's bid was "earlier". That could mean 2 seasons ago when Chinese teams were burning money. Having said that it could also have been last week.
