We, as a fan-base aren't mate. You are making the mistake of taking the postings on GOT as representative of our fan-base, which it is not.
It IS representative of internet forums which always have more than their fair share of trolls, WUMs and their hangers on.
I love GOT, but you need to take EVERYTHING on here with more than a little pinch of salt.

This post should be stickied somewhere.
Many's a time I've come home, nattering to Blues on the train who were reasonably happy with a game or result, only to find GOT in full meltdown mode !

You're wrong.....people see Sam as nothing but hoof ball, he isn't. He uses it like other managers we've had....Joe Royle, David Moyes and Ronald Koeman to name a few. The only manager who tried to do it differently was Mr Martinez and in the end that was completely horrible to watch.
Give him a bit of slack and a bit of time........it's not been a bad start, although some very strange Evertonians wish it had been.

People do see Fat Sam as nothing more than a hoof ball merchant, there is a reason for that. As you say other managers will employ long ball tactics from time to time to meet certain short comings but they then move on. Fat Sam is in his sixties, he has been at it for years.
I take issue with your slur on your fellow Evertonians, I don't know of any Blue who wants Everton to be beaten no matter who manages the side.
Fat Sam will go, Everton will recover from his time and his negative tactics.
By the way , thanks for pointing out I was wrong. My opinion on you is that you have a different opinion from me, you see things differently, perfectly valid for you to do so. Football, in my opinion, isn't about absolutes, it is about how you see things and interpret them.
But as you so succinctly put it, I am wrong.

not gonna lie if there is one turkish player i would love to sign its arda turan but it aint happening

on another note besiktas fans ive always noted that ozyakup gets lot of assists for you, and im sure we've been linked with him in the past, do you think he's more important to your team than tosun?

he's another player i wouldn't mind having a punt on
he's class & an absolute joy to watch in a good day. Was instrumental in the last two championships but hasn't played too much this year. There are some physical issues which prevents him from beng a top level player who is reliable in the long run. He can be motm in one game and turn into a ghost in another. I like Tolgay more just because he is more consistent. You know what kind of performance you'll get even when he is not at its best. But still, i think Ozzy would make a difference in this Everton team.

Lets not be haggling much longer with Besiktas over the fee. Got to be done quick or not at all. They have a history of this kind of negotiating (Turkish clubs).
If its not done in a couple of days, then move on.
I don't even know if he's any good (my ignorance to be fair).

Not this year. Ozyakup was -for me- our best player since 2 years but this year he was so bad that he even lost his place. But it's sure that he has the potential to play for the biggest clubs. One of the most intelligent player I've ever seen.

This year is definitely Cenk's one. And I think Cenk's performance at the EPL is also important for other Turkish players like Ozyakup. If he performs well, big clubs should hesitate less than they're currently doing on buying Turks.

And another difference between these two players is that Cenk was impressive in CL, which is not the case for Ozyakup.

Don't you have any creative player in the midfield like Ozyakup ? I ask the question because Cenk needs guys like that. Otherwise he will have difficulties to score as he's not really capable of creating goal chances by himself. He rarely scores this type of goal.

What I understand of other posts is that Everton is lacking creativity, which could be problematic for Cenk. But at least you will now have a striker that can score the 2 or 3 balls he will receive in the box, which is also important for teams having offensive difficulties.
we have no creativity in midfield

our midfielders and trained to be crabs and pass sideways
