Kone overachieving in our league is due to Turkish league mentality.

There are 3 bigger bugget teams and lesser teams in TSL.

Every lesser teams plays their hardest game and mostly 9-1 formation defensive counter attack games against top 3 teams but play casual against each other. Top teams striker has to work twice harder. Kone wouldnt score a single goal if he was BJK striker and would be the biggest joke BJK would have too.

Ryan babel actually improved this year, he played for his national team and scored,assisted. I shared your opinion of him when he first arrived but he proved me wrong. I consider him a more useful team member then overhyped quaresma. Negrado never started a single
competitive match at starting eleven and is not good enough for us either. We should seek a striker now too , thats why i dont want Cenk to leave. But we are under FFP regulations and must sell . The price tag on Cenk is very high in Turkish standarts but he would be much higher worth if he was in PL.

You know a lot more about him then me obviously. I'm yet to see any bjk fan seem happy about loosing him or have a bad opinion of him so thats a positive. The opinions shared on him like yourself, certainly give hope for excitement of us signing him just got to wait and see if he can reproduced his form for you for us. But heres hopeing lol

most of us are not sad as you said. some thinks 25m is higher than he deserves, so it is a bargain, some knows the financial crisis club is fighting for years, some are just emotional and want Cenk to be known as a top class footballer. IMHO, Cenk is also leaving to help the club and he would stay until the end of this season without a hesitation if he was asked. he is a besiktas fan and his dedication should show his personality if nothing other than that.

the price tag is somewhat abstract for us. those money can never be paid by a turkish club for years to come. EPL however is known for its cash splashes. it is really hard to tell if cenk deserves 25m in turkey or england. on a personal note, I would be very unhappy if he was gone below 20m euros. 28m is kind of a good point to meet on either side considering EPL reputation.
