Really? Wtf is Walsh doing then, if the striker we're finally signing a tfr window too late was lined up by a manager who has been here 5 minutes? Something seems seriously wrong with his role with regards to recruitment cos our tfr business has been nothing short of a joke.
Not really , Walsh probably has his targets but Allardyce wants the Turkish lad....nowt wrong with that.

Walsh’s claim to fame is he unearthed Vardy, Mahrez, Kante etc.. from obscurity & they went on to star in a title winning side.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but none of those had instant impact, they reached their potential after a season or so?

Next season we might see the likes of Henri, Josh Bowler, Donkor etc... lighting up the league & we'll all be calling him a genius.

I’ll reserve judgment until then.

My cat could have built a better balanced squad.

I think hes part of the process myself, i would be certain he has a data base of options in each position in terms of priority and the board and manager in conjunction decide.

Blaming it on one person, i think is nonsense.

I think he does a decent job moving players on and getting bang for buck he did a great job last January, i suspect he will again this January in the desperate limited market.

I also like the loan out our players model and likely revenue this raises. Personally i think we are moving to a puppy farming model of buying players, nurturing them if they dont make it here, will raise funds through loans or eventual sell ons, similar to Chelsea who are more or less self sustaining presently without Russian millions.

Its big picture stuff for me.

As will I mate.
Must admit I’ve watched some of the players Watford brought in this year and they are doing very well. Richarlison and Doucoure have been very good signings. There’s bound to be more of these type of guys available in world football?
