Confirmed Signing Cenk Tosun

Tosun isn't a fast striker but he has good finishing and great positioning. He's always at the right place and he's not the target man many people here seem to think he is. He often comes to help the midfielders and he can play as a left winger as well. Tho he's a fairly selfish player who likes to score constantly, therefore don't expect him to be decent with crossing.

I personally believe he's a poor man's Harry Kane. He's a really dedicated player, doesn't mind sitting on the bench but keeps fighting to find a chance in the starting 11. In the beginning of his career when Slaven Bilic was the manager of Besiktas he didn't give Tosun a lot of chances but he kept on working hard for it and became a legend of Besiktas.

So the people complaining about us signing this guy presumably wanted us to sign the “great proven PL striker” that is Christian Benteke (actually PLAYS for Palace, not just linked with them) or Olivier “I don’t want to play for Everton and neither does my wife” Giroud?

Or maybe they’re the absolute mentalists who thought Aubamayang would even know who Everton are?

Good grief he hasn’t even kicked a ball for us yet.

Dear bjk fans,

I see you are trolling everywhere. I can see your passion about it.

but seriously guys? this epl, not porteguese league. you are sharing porto's league performance and saying they are seriously strong this year?

guys, this is EPL. Everton will play against city, united, l'pool, chelsea

what makes a striker good is the performance against tough defences. we made this mistake many many times. playing against soft defences means nothing in here.

no pace, no smart running, very static player. In EPL, they eat you alive with these skills.

that is my idea. we are paying for an average footballer with average skills. Seems like Sam wants an average team again for nothing.

you will see what i mean, soon
Writing off a player before he’s even played for us lollollol

cenk has proven to be a reliable source of goals, even against top teams. he has some experience under his belt. besiktas had matches against totenham, arsenal and liverpool recently and I think did well against them. cenk was not a premium piece of those besiktas teams but it gives us a chance to compare at least the level wise.

he is not the fastest, not the best off the ball and not the most dynamic guy by any means I would agree. but intangibles he will put on the table will make him succeed in my belief. I also expect his passing vision will be almost as valuable as his finishing, maybe more to open some space for rooney.

monaco, porto and leipzig do not belong to portugal league.

Shame about Giroud's wife, I reckon she'd get us 15 goals a season.
