this guy is the definition of a striker. if you need a comparison, it is alan shearer.

clinical finisher with both foot. headers are also deadly when he can meet the ball. his off the ball game is improving but average at the moment. he is neither weak nor strong but he developed his target man game a lot. he will never be a pivot striker but strong enough to gather some balls off the defenders. while finishing technique is top class, you wpnt see him doing much with the ball. he can prepare himself for shot on one-two combinations but that is it. he has a knock for improvement but one thing that will likely never be a part of his game is a ball hogger. a very willing passer when plays secondary forward. he can create for other when other players are also good passers and willing to push forward.

the guy has been phenomenal even when he was just a back up. he will whatever asked to do and work. I cant see how any fan would not love him after watching him.

Hi guys , greetings from Turkey.

I saw your forum link on "eksisozluk" which is one of the most popular websites in Turkey,it is kind of a platform like Reddit.Also the topic related to Cenk is so popular right know on "eksisozluk".

If deal happens , this going to be the biggest transfer for Turkish football history . The second one was Arda Turan's transfer to Atletico Madrid , he is currently a player of Barcelona.

I'm following Cenk since Gaziantepspor , but he improved himself since his transfer to Besiktas.He can use both of his foots , good at airballs , may be it will be hard for EPL but he has a good physical suffiency.

There are lots of videos about his performance and characteristics about him but I just want to say that he is so much plucky.He waited as a substitute for a long time because during this periof Besiktas had players like Demba ba or Mario Gomez , but never loured because of that, continued to hard work.

The most important thing is he is totally a professional , not like Arda who is enjoying money and belly his right know.So it is going to be hard to get used to EPL for him , but you should know he can handle it :)

Ps : I think you are getting a bargain by the money.Because when we compared with the other transfers like Danilo -about 30 m £ - and Mendy -about 50 m £- . Also you are transferring a striker who was successful in CL for two seasons also in Turkish leauge , not a defender.


I 'm not trying to evidence anything about Cenk , but I just want to let you know what are the fans and people think about him in Turkey .
