Silva (with a fair slice of luck) managed three points yesterday after his team had gone into freefall in the previous weeks. The type of manager we aspire to appoint? Posters keep saying he wanted to come to us,but obviously not enough to force the issue.Let's face it,we missed the boat, got a billionarre owner just as the Prem was flooded with money.Still,we might soon have a cardboard cut out of a stadium to use as a carrot to attract a manager with a top CV from the Russian league.
I think we can do miles better than Allardyce.

Not sure what this has to do with Martinez.
RM played football in the Everton way stylish his biggest mistake was hanging on to Timmy Howard for two seasons too many!
I stated that keeper would cost him his job, and it did!
RM dId not have the spending power of Koeman either!
So it is relevant!

This is true but I do think we have been riding our luck, and he knows it. Newcastle we got lucky really, scruffy goal while they hit the post twice and had a great chance towards the end , Swansea as well, the score line doesn't reflect how unconvincing we were, we are unbeaten but we really basically aren't very good at doing anything apart from stopping multiple goals
Mate we're talking Albion here. No win in 4 months and cant hit a barn door.

im actually shocked by some of the comments on here. If you look at the two lineups on Saturday Sam chose more or less the best we have available. And I have to say I fancied west brom would beat us, regardless of their form, I think they looked the better side on paper and should probably have had enough.
Therefore Sams gameplan was spot on, we never looked like conceding and could have nicked one. You need to remember without Gueye we had to play very defensively and it worked. This Everton team is not good enough for top 4, nowhere near, we clearly need 3 or 4 signings. In context with our season so far a goalless draw at West Brom is fine, we were lucky to beat Newcastle.
We could go back to how Unsworth played if you like and see us lose 3 or 4 to Leicester and Southampton. However I'm quite happy with this limited squad plugging away and picking up a point or 3 every week.

@Baines' left foot this "poor imitation" is about to smash all records.

The challenge is on.

You boy Robles was in goal the night before Martinez got sacked.

But that's none of my business.
Two years of star jumps, and standing on his line he became Tim Coward - as for Robles seeing MOTD last night he would be better at many teams than who they have now, some shocking goals let in yesterday at the near post - ten clean sheets in the Prem Robles achieved he's better than most - good no 2 for Pickford ATM !
