Marco Silva Watch/Been sacked.

I am not laughing anymore.

I have been hoping Watford get beat these past few weeks but there is no logical reason for it as I have always quite liked Watford FC and it was always a pleasant and safe away trip.

And the town in general....my sister lives there and I am a pretty regular visitor.

We asked them for permission to speak to their under contract manager.....they knocked us back.

As they were entitled to do and they showed more spunk than us when United wanted our under contract Lukaku..

I never thought Silva was all that anyway and could not understand Moshiri’s relentless, Koeman style pursuit of him.

In short.....I think a bullet has been dodged and instead of us hating on Watford because so many of our friends on here let a couple of Hornet fans wind them up we should be thanking the owners at Vicarage Road instead ;)

i like you Khal, I don't always agree with you, but I like you !

I think Silva will learn from his mistakes, and be successful. When Koeman was sacked, of the managers who were actually possibilities to come here, Silva was my number one choice. But, sadly, because I have a lot of time for him, things got worse under Unsworth, so I think Allardyce coming in was probably a better short-term option.

Well, thank you for those kind words, Woolly ;)

Disagreement without rancour is the life’s blood of a successful debating forum :)

Figures the one time those wazzock Pozzos actually want to keep a manager, it burns them just as badly as when they sack a manager prematurely.

I note Watford, in getting only 1 point out of its last 5 games(!), has the PL's worst 'recent league form' (worst equal with Newcastle).
Everton, gaining 13 points out of a possible 15 has the second best recent form*. Man City wins that stat (along with everything else).

*...I'm pessimistic we'll get anything this weekend

Says a lot about him - mercenary. Jumps ship to a big Spanish team the minute they ask; he badly wanted the job at us for the 15 minutes he could use us to get a bigger one.

Fair play to him as a career in management can go south quickly so you need to capitalise where and when you can, but still leaves a sour taste about the state of modern football.
