“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

I don’t think the football has even been that bad, Lou.

Certainly not the two home games, against Huddersfield and and Swans, where after slow starts we played some decent stuff.

The goals, or the penalties that led to them, were all well worked and did not come about as a result of a hoof up the pitch.

The prelude to JonJo being fouled for the second penalty the other night must have contained around fifteen to twenty passes :)

But the most important thing is that we are scoring more goals, leaking fewer goals, amassing points and shooting up the table.

I for one will settle for that at the moment, given where we were three weeks ago ;)

It's been okayish in patches Khal, but IMO like it's been mostly crap and negative at times. We're winning, so at this moment in time I'm happy with getting points on the board.

The other thing is we are looking a bit more solid, and look like we've got more fight in us, so compared to what it was like under Koeman ;)

Please show us where and when charges were made and proven. As I said do a bit more homework and check out the record of one of the agents used as a source for the non-story.

Stevens Report.

“The inquiry remains concerned at the conflict of interest that it believes existed between Craig Allardyce, his father Sam Allardyce – the then manager at Bolton – and the club itself.”

Or, in layman's terms:

"We can't be arsed taking it further, but they're bent as a five bob note and this amendment should make that clear to everyone anyway."

So glad hanging was abolished!

Dry your pants & try to breathe.

Is Sam a racist?
Has he raped anyone?
Was he even charged with anything at all?
What would the charge be? He explained loopholes, which some clubs are clearly using. Loopholes that could be closed down if FIFA or EPL wanted to.

So what crime has he actually committed?

Our manager was caught on video offering to "advise" a group of investors on how to circumvent rules relating to third party ownership of players
which is against FIFA and FA rules.
Whilst this is distasteful in the extreme I don't think it is criminal, but, do we want people who are willing to do things like this while earning a salary of three million p.a. as the national manager.
At the moment I feel really mixed about the situation. On the one hand I despise people like Philip Green and Margaret Thatcher who advocated a Machiavellian approach to making money and sadly our manager falls into this category. But on the other hand it is so refreshing to see us as a team winning games AND keep clean sheets (I know, RS) and therein lies the rub.
There is a perhaps a choice to make but whatever that choice is people should not be berated for making it.......whatever choice they make.

Apparently we put up with The Bore In The Cardigan for a large number of years while he son worked as an agent, Mr.Peinnar was actually charged and found guilt of an offence, ,as have various footy players over the years...didn't a murderer actually score for us in a long forgotten Cup Final. The number of drink driving wife battering stolen goods receiving gbh has gone on over the years amongst Everton footballers over the years is almost legendary.
So,Mr. Tubey give your holier than thou rantings a break, and enjoy the ride with Sam

I don’t disagree. I despise the very existence of Phillip Green & his ilk, but the problem is, those in power make no effort to close the loopholes they exploit. It’s really no different to the “diesel fitters” of Liverpool docks 30 years ago. Just operating on a different scale. Human nature to take advantage of the the hand you’ve been dealt.

Don’t tell me FIFA/UEFA/EPL/FA aren’t aware of the loopholes around 3rd party ownership, of course they do. So why don’t they shut it down? Because the biggest crooks are right at the top. It’s not just Blatter, they’ve all got their noses in the trough.

So you’re a manager. You know the game is bent. You know the agents are all on the take. You know all the clubs signing the top players are all playing the game. Do you refuse to do it like a Cub Scout, or do you play the game? Allardyce said himself the inland revenue are the biggest crooks (they are. Look at the deals they cut with Apple etc.. is that fair to every other business who pay their taxes??).

As far as I’m concerned he just knows how to play the game. I’d love to see the game cleaned up. No agents, salary cap etc... but until that happens, I want us to be on a level playing field.
