Good post mate and 100% agree. I was speaking to my mate a few weeks back who knows some of Rooney family. Apparently Rooney told him that Davies and Lookman were two players he’d been really impressed with. Gueye, Davies and Rooney looks balanced just like Gueye, Davies and Barkley did last season. Beni looks more like a replacement for Gueye and has big future ahead of him. A lot of young players with potential who could turn out to be a bit special if we get the right manager in place.I don't see anything you've said as true mate ( differing opinions are sound
I see a player constantly asking for the ball
I see a player taking the ball in tight spots and 9/10 retaining possssion
I see a player driving forward with the ball
I see a player always looking for the forward pass
I see a player who can take the ball whilst facing his own goal and not be afraid
BUT most importantly!
I see a player who makes Gueye look like a solid defensive mid because when Davies plays like last night, Gueye just set back and thought "yep, that kids got that part of the pitch so I'll just do my job and do it well".
I see Gylfi look a better player becsuse he has a forward thinking midfielder pushing up
I see Rooney trust this kid in the middle of the park knowing Davies has the legs where he hasn't
I see strikers make little bursts of runs hoping a ball might be on its way
Loads to learn, had some tough moments this season but does not and will not hide from the ball and that makes a massive difference to how we play
Probably be crap Saturday now or get dropped lol
Edit - sorry for the long rant but just to finish
He would be my pick for the midfield week in week out as for me, for his age, has shown so much potential and willingness to put things right on the pitch

Yep doesn’t hide even if not playing well, always impressed when I see that. Beni and Kenny have really impressed me with their character as well. Come in when a lot of senior pros have been a disgrace and more than held their own. They’ve been a real credit to the work that Sheedy and Unsworth have done. All seem to have good temperament and character.Yep Benni has it by a country mile, you could see it in the Dallas Cup 2 seasons ago as a 16 year old kid. Great that Sheedy and Unsworth really pushed the players on. He should take massive credit in getting Niasse up and running in English football ensuring he didn't leave a laughing stock.
I'm a massive fan of Davies, I like players who don't shirk responsibility and want the ball. I can forgive misplaced passes and mistakes when I see that becsuse that tells me he's cut from the right cloth, the Everton fabric if I may be so cheesy lol

Baptism of fire for Kenny with that defence, the fact that he’s steadily improved with each game and never let his head drop speaks volumes. Remember his comments about taking winning penalty in the Euros for England. Said he wasn’t thinking about missing just about what an opportunity to score the winning penalty it was. Got the right stuffLast night was the first time Kenny I felt was showing what he can do and what he's about. That kid has an engine on him and can get forward at will. What is really interesting is that Lennon I think was brought in to "babysit" Kenny ( and it was the right thing to do imo because Lennon tactically is a managers dream ) but Lennon was poor against the Saints and wasn't great yesterday ( still decent but not great ) and Kenny looks like he is standing on his own 2 feet now. He was brilliant having to play left back against the Saints and again last night.
Lennon is a great pro, pat on the back to him for helping Kenny and Unsworth deserves credit for paring them together. Didn' look pretty at times but we'll feel the benefit from it long term
Should be dropped for Ross when he returns.
Yep, deffo mate in Feb when Ross is match fit......oh wait Ross won't be here unfortunately
You never know big Sam might work some magic and get him to sign a new deal...
We can dream can’t we..?
