Personally I prefer an actual winger on the wing who is pacey, direct and will run at the opposition. That’s just me though.

So many teams play with one out and out winger and then an inside left/right on the other. I think it gives the team better balance so fully understand why it's done.

I was just going to write this myself. Sam has not seen enough of all the players to know if they are going to be first teamers or not, so he chooses the ones who did well last game.
