Because he’s shown that he’s crap on the left wing at Everton and Spurs?

Even though he played really well there for Swansea?

People mistaking poor form for not being able to play a position. I actually prefer him from the wide as he strikes me as the type of player who isn't at his best when he's at the centre of everything.

Swansea, where he was a number 10?

Personally I prefer an actual winger on the wing who is pacey, direct and will run at the opposition. That’s just me though.
 
Part of our problem was the chopping and changing every week. We need a settled side and a good starting point is not changing a winning one.

It sets the precedent of if your good enough and perform you keep the shirt.

Makes a big statement to those out of form players with bigger reps whom expect to walk back into the side, no one ever accused BFS of being a bad manager at knowing how to motivate players tbf
