“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

Mike Walker and Roberto Martinez did not bow 130 million in the transfer market - RM did get us a record points tally in the prem one season on a limited budget !

He spent quite well in his final two seasons didn't he though Joe? If only He'd have compromised a little, done a bit of running and worked on set pieces, we may have avoided the last 18 months!

I've never really supported moyes, I thought he diminished the clubs reputation to enhance his own standing, but the time he left we were seen as a club overachieving by finishing 5th-7th. Where, even in the smith years we were considered to be a sleeping giant in the general media. Regarding the smith appointment he was a good singing on paper, he'd just dominated Scotland for a decade.
Unfortunately footballs moved on and the mind set put in place by moyes has largely stuck. To the point where Sam allardyce is now considered to be the best candidate for the job.

I don't support the allardyce appointment, I think it's a measure of how far we've fallen. Which is sad. But you've gotta accept it for what it is and at least give him the time to see if his methods work.

Who knows, this is the best squad he's had in domestic football, and easily the biggest club he's managed, he might just do something great.

After Koeman, I am more than willing to give him a chance - especially if he persuades Ross to stay.
I would say there was now zero chance of Ross staying. Having said that, if you'd have told me two months ago that Allardyce would be manager of Everton before Christmas I'd have said the same thing.:)

That maybe but no other chappie who may have been above Sam on the list wanted to take over, never mind if we had fallen as you say. We were shunned that is the reality of our situation so making comments like that is really a bit divorced from reality.

I know what you mean, I was generalising a little bit there

Today I thought he did right by the situation

Seems a huge 411 saw fit not to attend against Huddersfield the board must be quaking in their shoes at the Allardyce backlash (but then would we have got a full house under *insert popular manager of your choice*)

I am one of the many who think BFS is a backwards step for this club; I don't think he has the right moral fibre to be Everton manager, however, whilst I do not support him, I will always be behind the team. I have been for over 50 years and I'll out see BFS and am counting the days until he goes. BFS will not stop me going to matches and cheering on the players. Many people who were there on Saturday obviously felt the same because when BFS took his bow, they remained seated in a dignified silence
