PL place target for the rest of the season

Where do we need to finish for the season now to be acceptable?

It hasn't been. The only reason we got the performance against West Ham that we did was because Big Sam was practically already the manager. Would Rooney have played otherwise?

The senior players had no interest playing for Unsworth which is why he kept playing kids.

Wrong again.

The only reason was Corrupt Sam nearly being the manager? Give me a break. Unnnnnnnnsy has won all of his home league games hasn't he?

Unsworth picked the team and they won. So er, he picked Wayne Rooney.

Liam you absolutely reek of a previously banned poster. When are you going to 'fess up?

When we finished 4th we got 19 points from 19 games in the run in.

Last season we had a far-from-earth shattering 27 points from 19 games. The year before, 26 points. 2014 / 2015 we had 21 points!!

The relegation panic was completely overblown.

I'm so looking forward to the window. See the back of some of the cowardly beauts who've let everyone down so badly and got us in this mess
Give them away, pay clubs to take them, I don't care, it's not my dosh.

Now that's a target.

erm, have we?

We've won 4 games all season.

I wouldn't say we've still been beating teams?

But, you are right. We do have good players.

However, they need a solid base to work from. They haven't had that, and don't have that still.

Get the defence sorted and the confidence comes back and as you say our attack can be good enough on its day.
You understand that winning games involves beating teams, yes? I'm not saying we win every week, simply that even when playing really badly, we've had enough quality to win 4 of our 7 home games. Again, only 8 teams have won more than games than us this season, our form has been that of a mid table side, not a relegation threatened one.

2014/15 with Lukaku, Stones, Barkley, Barry, Del etc etc

2017/18 with only DCL and Niasse as the forward options and Williams in defence

The panic here has been massively, massively overblown.

For the season to be acceptable I voted top 7! That's not where I think we'll finish after yesterdays Sky Source announcement and the appearance at Goodison last night!

We're not going to win the FA Cup

We're not going to get into the top half

We're going to scrape survival at best

This is all a result of terrible coaching from Koeman, terrible transfer business from Walsh and the board, and terrible outings from a bunch of players you would expect to do much better

This season is a catastrophe, and the scariest thing is it could still even get worse

The board, coaching and playing staff have failed miserably. That's all this season will ever be considered as, a failure of epic proportions

It cannot, and indeed will not, be saved
Who says we can't make top half?

We are 2 points off the top half in a crap division outside of the top 6. We will be in touch in January and BFS will sign a centre half and even with the strikers we have that would be more than enough to get top half. Anyone thinking otherwise is being stupid and kneejerking.

You forget that the shithouses we have in our squad will turn up for a while now and get some results like they did last night instead of showing no effort like they have most of the season.

Why when you don't like something being said do you always accuse people of being a banned poster?

I realise you don't like Big Sam. I'm not particularly happy either but we couldn't get Silva and out of the rest of the name bandied about like Tuchel etc they are either managers we couldn't get or wouldn't be better than Big Sam. For what he does Big Sam is decent. He will get us organised and to safety. After that we move on from there but we needed to make the change.

We finished 7th comfortably last season playing bang average football,Id expect us to finish top half easily

I'd argue it's stupider to dig one's head in the sand and ignore the gravity of a very real problem, but I guess we'll have to disagree on that front
