PL place target for the rest of the season

Where do we need to finish for the season now to be acceptable?

7th and the FA Cup- minimal aim.

one win over the gashest West Ham side in living memory - and they've had some gash sides. And, we got massively lucky.

40 points. Get to that. Then see where we are in the season.

I'd like a good cup run, obviously.

100% this.

We've got a DoF who appears largely incapable of identifying any decent transfer targets, we have a squad full of overpriced, overpaid, gutless non-performers (Schneiderlin and Klaassen at the top of that list) and we've just appointed a manager whose USP is relegation avoidance, yet people are suggesting we're now somehow going to be back up to 7th / 8th? The January window is not a panacea and the road ahead is a long one. We'll do well to get to 10th by season's end.
that’s because of the manager we’ve just employed

I think we can get up to 7th or 8th but I would be happy with 13th and a FA Cup run.

I couldn't give a toss about getting into Europe this season. We aren't good enough to win it and won't be for a number of seasons so therefore there's little point.

I just want a little bit of excitement that we might actually win a trophy.

Winning FA Cup makes it acceptable but unlikely to happen.

We're not going to win the FA Cup

We're not going to get into the top half

We're going to scrape survival at best

This is all a result of terrible coaching from Koeman, terrible transfer business from Walsh and the board, and terrible outings from a bunch of players you would expect to do much better

This season is a catastrophe, and the scariest thing is it could still even get worse

The board, coaching and playing staff have failed miserably. That's all this season will ever be considered as, a failure of epic proportions

It cannot, and indeed will not, be saved

7th is par for Everton, anything below is failure, anything above success. That is the narrow window the club have operated in for some time. I'll be relived if we get to 40 points but certainly wouldn't consider 8th-17th anything other than a disappointment with the caveat that an FA Cup win would forgive a multitude of sins.

Around mid table 10-12th I guess. Depends on January, get a decent striker, CB and LB cover and who knows as there is a lot of average teams from 8th downwards.

The Huddersfield game will be a better measure of our "turning the corner" West Ham are absolutely garbage so not much can be made of that (could've been different if they scored the penalty too)

The FA Cup doesn't start till the new year and hopefully by then we will be one of those teams in mid table mediocrity that can play their first team every round.

With Coleman and Bolasie coming back. Sigurdsson on the left, Bolasie on the right and decent target man with Rooney behind we could actually have a decent first team.

Of course this assumes we fix the Striker, CB and LB positions in January. Basically it's not a right off unless the board decide it to be a right off.

20 point first half of season (5 more needed from 5 games) and 30 points from the second half of the season (10 wins from 19).

We could even go 25 / 25 with one of the worst Everton sides in recent memory.

50 points.

In 2016/2017 = enough for 8th
15/16 = enough for 10th
14/15 = enough for 10th
13/14 = enough for 9th

The bed has been pooped far too quickly. 45 points enough for top half last season.

No European games second half of season.

No wonder Dodgy Sam fancies an easy 6 months work.

I don't think Allardyce will care about the cup

It hasn't been. The only reason we got the performance against West Ham that we did was because Big Sam was practically already the manager. Would Rooney have played otherwise?

The senior players had no interest playing for Unsworth which is why he kept playing kids.
