The problem with Lookman and Vlasic is that they have no defensive discipline, so the defence (such as it is) can't rely on them covering runners - see the bollocking that Kenny gave to Lookman today.

Mirallas has no defensive discipline. He also has no pace, can’t pass or trap a bag of cement.... They both offer massively more attacking threat, which occupies defenders.

That’s rubbish. Rooney on the pitch would have dragged the Southampton team further back and stopped their belief that they could attack without fear. Rooney is by far our best forward, DCL showed just what he is today. Play the best and see what happens.....

We need a manager in place tomorrow for two very important home games. Another week with Unsworth in charge will result in two more hidings going in to the Derby IMO. Absolute shambles.

I've got nothing against him other than he's clearly finished at this level. How bad other players in our squad are doesn't change that.

Put the moments of magic that he's capable of to one side and look at his overall contribution during 90 minutes. Hopefully he'll be gone by the summer, America would be a nice destination for him.
