David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

Agreed. But he didn't have to bring williams on today, not when our left back gets injured. He didn't have to start Schneiderlin or Mirallas today, or Calvert-Lewin when Sandro has finally scored his first goal. DCL has two league goals in over 20 games.
Picking Dcl, and then keeping him on..bizarre.

It is mate.

Like this thing with Lennon. He deserves a chance definitely, but to suddenly bring him straight in and making a non-scoring, non-assisting winger who can't go past people and hasn't for five years your first choice strikes me as doing one for the admiration of the social media lot.

Unsworth's decisions have reeked of someone doing things to be popular rather than doing the hard choices that all caretaker managers are supposed to do in times of crises. Ironically this has made him less respected by the fans and players and less likely to get the job than if he had booted arses.

Keane was good before he was played with Williams...
Jags was ok before he saw either Baines or Cuco next to him
Williams has been poor every single game
Keane hasn't been good since he joined. Jags hasn't been good in years. Williams is awful too. I just think he has been less awful in a lot of games.

I agree 100% but one thing I'm lost with, why drop rooney if hes trying to be mates with seniors...

Thrown under a bus while we don’t sort out a new manager.

He was never going to get a tune out of these utter s-houses despite the smiles in training.

Should never have been in the job this long.

Agreed.
Lennon was abysmal today, straight back in to a massive game and not even close to making any impact. Of course he wasn't alone in being poor, but it's Unsworth's bizarre selections, then sticking with it in the blind hope things might improve, that is making my hair fall out.
Like you said earlier, Sandro gets a much needed confidence boosting goal in mid week, then is dropped, and never looked like being introduced at any time. Any player who can't get in this team ahead of Dcl might as well retire.

Again mate, it's playing to the boorish masses. The social media and print media weapons.

'Hur hur hur Rooney is fat and bad hur hur hur' ... ah wait he's scored 5 in 12 league games. As opposed to Calvert-Lewin who has what, one.

It's more of this bizarre backwards thinking. Calvert-Lewin is tripe, so why not play him in the one competition he has actually managed to do moderately well in? He could have started on Thursday to try and get some goals and confidence in him.

If Rooney can't play midweek and weekend... don't play him in a meaningless European game. And don't for the love of god bring Ashley Williams on before him in a game we are losing.

I don't want to dislike Unsworth, genuinely.
But playing DCL, Mirrallas, Lennon and Schneiderlin is absolutely horrendous.
Throw in playing Bamingime in recent weeks and you've got a manager who is trying to buy goodwill with his selections imo.
Yes I and my fellow GOT contributors aren't on the training pitch every day but I cannot see how Davies, Ramirez, Klaassen and especially Rooney are not worthy of a squad / starting place
We have to hire our new manager TOMORROW

There is no rationale for DCL over Rooney. Not one ounce.

We've got a big squad, a big squad with a lot of not very good players in it, and our manager doesn't know which of them to pick week in, week out, and if he doesn't know, we're doomed.
