Dave's communication thread got me thinking that for all the money spent, there is still no obvious direction or target beyond simply seeing what happens....i’ve always thought this should be a quarterly Board agenda item, regardless of how the team are performing.
I wouldn't expect the release of intimate details regarding the search for a new manager, but if the club want the fans to buy into this 'new' regime, they could start by outlining a clear vision for the future, both on and off the pitch; because almost two years on, we still haven't moved past vague soundbites and empty platitudes.
What style of football do the board want to see develop? How did Koeman fit into that? How does Walsh? What were their expectations going into this season, and what do they believe caused the most expensive recruitment drive in 135 years to end in abject failure? What do they intend to do differently next time?
If this keeps up much longer, I imagine that the fans will begin voting with their feet.
