Everton Youth Teams Thread

The article from the Mail in Brummie has a really interesting readers comment below .....
"
The talk on the terraces is that David Stockdale had to break up a training ground altercation between Walsh and Bramall which is how he broke his wrist. That’s why the two loanees haven’t been selected since. Any truth?"

The fans seem to accept it happened. He’s had an unlucky time of things with injuries and loans , and it wasn’t that long ago he was our MoM in the U23s 3-0 away win at Chelsea , outshining Beni. All water under the bridge now, he’s always been up for a scrap so I’m sure he’ll bounce back, just needs a wee bit of luck to get a crack at showing what he can do at a higher level than U23s .

Had he not been on loan I'm pretty certain he would have been the beneficiary of the opportunity than came Beni's way. He's not had too much luck over the last 2 years. As you say, I'm sure he'll bounce back though as he's a tough cookie.

Spoke to a blues fan last month. He really likes Walsh, but feels that city are going down the route of playing more experienced physical players to get them out of trouble at the expense of skill. Wrongly in his opinion, results wise they are no better.

Gordon again, is there a better player in the league at the moment? Obviously the England selectors don't think so.
