This person states, with absolute certainty, that fetching Wayne back was solely Moshiri's decision, without offering one iota of evidence to back it up.

I would say he just made that bit up......regardless of whether there is any truth in it or not.

No anonymous, random journo is privy to what goes on in Moshiri's mind.

That is Jimbo's exclusive territory ;)

I recall when sky had the day at F.F. they interviewed' Koeman and specifically asked would he be interested in signing Rooney in the summer. He was unequivocal in his answer saying he would love to.

It's like a disaster, with no one in front, and no one i charge.
It might play out, somewhere, but this is Everton.

Selling Lukaku, with no replacement, or tradeing him, is just pure greed.

It does not make sense, the way the club is being conducted.

I don't like it. He need to leave

All you can ask from a chairman is to show ambition, provide financial stability and back the manager with funds. The funds were clearly there for Giroud and we also had money for a center back which probably ended up getting spent on Vlasic last minute. This was just backing Koeman and Walsh and investing in the future. In fact we have invested massively in youth and have the best young squad around and an EPL2 league title to boot.

Hasn't let the Koeman situation drag on and pulled the trigger at the right time. Has given Unsworth a chance and most of us would agree that it was the right thing to do. He doesn't pick the team, he just backs the manager with funds and he has done that since day 1.

Has a massive appointment on his hands now, but I don't think we could reasonably ask for any more to date. Ticks all the boxes for me - Rome wasn't built in a day and he has been trying to lay the foundations...

No. Selling Lukaku, with no replacement, having no striker or manager, and turning Everton in to a mess, is something i enjoy.

Let's keep him. He has been a huge succes, for the club soo far. And contributing millions on players. He is not a leach, at all.

Thing is, I think a lot of us have the wrong idea about what a major shareholder does and can influence. He provides financial backing and then hires staff to deliver results with that backing. He has to trust the people he puts on place to spend that money wisely, or else he would be a dictator controlling and micro managing every last little thing. He has provided the backing - season 1 worked out OK, season 2 started badly and he has acted. He will have been equally as pissed off Koeman couldn't convince his targets to sign - hence that (albeit a little cringey) call with Jim White on deadline day. But the backing was there - his manager didn't deliver and has paid the price.

Exactly, he's acted and got rid of two under performing managers, this is an owner who really wants the best for the club (his investment) if it was solely down to bill then martinez would still be here bullshitting us

Let's just see what manager he's actually got lined up before he's lynched

Well he is pretty involved, in the decition making, for a person who proves financial backing, to be fair. As i recall he is involved in all signings and choices of manager, selling of players, not to mention recruting Walsh. Etc.
Soo in that regard, i disagree with you.
First season, he was a disaster. He should have invested in the defence, instead of only focusing on recruting Koeman. That was a class act of passiveness, and not being willing to spend.
Second season, well, need i say anything.
He sold Lukaku, keept the money, and here we are. I bet you, that those money, make a fat interest.
