David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

Why couldn't Rhino's first match in charge be against a side like Bournemouth instead of Chelsea away? Just our luck.

We haven't won away at Stamford Bridge for almost a quarter of a century!
It's been years especailly in the league since we won away against, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool(not since before Moyes was manager for us) and man Utd (we only won there when Moyes was in charge of them) there has been the odd cup win, but our teams mind set seem to expect to lose at them grounds, even our owner thinks the same. I thought with Martinez and Koeman it would change but it hasn't, TBH it's gotten worse Moyes did better at then grounds, if we want to be a big team we need to go there with a game plan to try and win, so it's over to Unsworth to try and change that tonight.

Whats Rhinos style like?
I’ve no idea but judging by the comments on here it’s almost a Replica of Barcelona’s style with the good points from Man City and Real Madrid thrown in plus the defensive capabilities of Juventus in their prime.
I could be wrong ( I don’t see how Williams , Martina , Jags , Gana , Bescic ,DCL , Lookman , Mirallas ,Rooney Etc fit in ) but that’s the general impression I get from this thread

I really like him and I think he deserves a meaningful chance, taking into account the shambles he has inherited.

It's actually a worrying sign that the players hadn't turned on Koeman (save Barkley) - at least then it would be clear what the problem is.

I hope Unsworth will have to courage to sideline big, expensive names if that's what he feels is required.

But I've learned anything from following the forum the past few years, it's that all the esteem showered on him while he was still the 'grass on the other side of the mountain,' so to speak, will evaporate, and be replaced with pitchforks and abuse - or condescending pity - if he doesn't turn things around, and quickly.
There will be shouts of Unsworth out 30 secs after his team is announced tonight

Come on.............we are all going a little bit overboard with 'RHINO'. His playing style is now akin to Barcelona?!?!?. He managed the U23's for gods sake (worse than league 2). We place him on a pedestal too soon, he'll have the fans on his back and he'll fall on his arse.

One press conference and it's like the second coming.

My original post was written with my tongue firmly placed in my cheek

Good luck to Unsworth as interim Manager he has the club at heart & is a popular choice, he will bring passion & pride to our game & we will be a powerful force to be reckoned with, let's enjoy this togetherness & solidarity who knows where it will take us, COYB.....

What do we make of the comment 'Unsworth won't be able to attract higher calibre players' ?
It’s not his job to do they
That’s up to Walsh , isn’t it ??
Or maybe I’m confused
I agree though , we need a high profile manager to attract high profile players.
Although Unsworth may get lucky if he lasts till Jan
By then Seamus , Ross and Barkley may be back from injury and Walsh may deliver the CF and CB we need so that’ll be 5 new first teamers to throw into the mix , although to be honest I think Barkley has told Spurs he’s signing for them because the gangstas want him out of town
