He was more settled tonight, as I predicted, in a flat back four. The goal was a bonus.

Keane has still to settle but I expect him to come good eventually.

While we still have no target man upfront, the midfield and defence will continue to face undue pressure.

Resolve this and lose Klassen and I expect a change in our fortune.
Klaassen has been directly involved in most of our good bits of play we've had this season... Biggest scapegoat for sure this season is Davy and I'm not sure why...

Perhaps I’m doing him a disservice, but to me he looks like he’s out of his depth in the Premiership. Apart from the odd flash of industry, I’ve not seen anything that fills me with confidence about his play. Is he too nice? I don’t know, but if your game is suffering, especially at Everton, you just have to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in as a token gesture to the fans. Sadly, I don’t think he has that in his nature. Time, of course, will tell but maybe his substitution at half time speaks volumes.

I don't think you're wrong by any means with that theory but it is still his first season and I think he was under the assumption he would have a manager that knew what in the world he was doing...

Blatantly trying to win back the fans there Williams. He knows we like a bit of a fight. He's on his last legs and is full of frustration coz of his recent terrible form.. 'avin a fight was a win win for him, got away with it too. How fat btw!

Totally unforgivable behaviour from Ashley tonight imo, i can't believe i saw that from someone in an Everton shirt. He's a bit of a thug, i've noticed it in several games. He will pay dearly for his indiscretion, no doubt, and he should also be stripped of the captaincy.

Was crap last season and has started this season to the same standard. Disaster waiting to happen.

It looks like it happened tonight. Personally, i think he had a decent season last time around but has been generally poor this season. However, having read through some of the posts on this thread i can see why he has a bit of a complex. Some of the guys on here crack me up, they disrespect players from a safe distance without any regard to the the possibility that they might actually read these threads and have their confidence smashed.

Mate if any of our players come on here I'd be amazed. Maybe Barkley does and that's why he won't sign the contract!!

Back to Williams. He is definetly worse this season than last. He was generally solid for Swansea and wales and I thought he was going to be an astute signing. Just hasn't and won't work out for him here.
