Computer games.

Just started playing league of legends today, seems pretty fun but a bit overwhelmed by all the choice and mechanics! Anyone a player?
Used to play a hell of a lot before they ruined it with all the stupid new stuff, and constant need for abilities/changing heros to be able to fly half way across the map.

Your best bet though is to play some of the more basic characters such as Ashe, Annie etc.

Play mostly one hero you like until you learn how to actually play the game.

Last hit minions to get gold, use wards to cover bushes and blind spots to stop you getting ganked. Do not overextend and leave yourself exposed etc.

Cheers for the advice, struggling with last hit on Ashe, played 4 games don't die much if at all, always bottom of DPS list though, I'm sure I'll figure it out as I play more

Nice. Not dying is a brilliant skill to have.

The best way to last hit is literally to not shoot the minions at all, until you know your one auto attack will kill that minion.

There's actually a pattern to it, for instance when your tower is pushed and begins shooting the minions.. certain minions take 2 tower shots before your auto is needed. Others need an auto before one tower shot.

There are official videos that help you with these things on the facebook page etc.

Another tip is to build correctly, there is generally a meta for what is needed on each hero. For instance, Ashe is all about speed and critical chance rather than base damage. Again, there are websites full of guides and stuff.

As I'm off tomorrow, I decide to get Shadow of War downloaded for the midnight release.

Got about 3/4 hours in and loving it so far.
Doesn't seem to have strayed too far from the original formula, but the upgrades to the nemisis system are ace. Each encounter has a limit or "turn" value assigned to it which counts down when you die or advance time. once ignored reaches zero, that Uruk levels up and may disappear into a higher level area.
It adds some real urgency to your revenge missions :D

Played the new Star Wars battlefront 2 beta, seems alright. So much different from the first though, and then little air vehicles are useless on multiplayer games
