doesnt have to be a top football team, mid table Everton suits his purposes brilliantly to kickstart the docks, that's why we won't see anything like the investment in the team that we as fans would like, explains the sell to buy policy over the last 2 summers and the short sighted appointment of Koeman as manager to increase the profile of the club, Koeman probably thought he would enhance his own reputation as a manager with a couple of top 6 finishes and maybe a cup win before he jets off to Catalonia, a move that has backfired on him massively because i think his reputation as a manager is in ruins there is no way Barcelona will take him now. If you still think his intentions are honourable ask yourself this, Why would anyone with any serious intent of taking us back to the top leave the absolute shambles that is Kenwright and Elstone in positions of influence?
I agree with most of that. The last question you ask is a fantastic one and one that needs answering. We can peculate and say maybe that was part of the initial deal that was signed, Kenwright gets to stay for a set period. I still don't think he's done enough even if it was. Moshiri's role is very questionable and I certainly won't be defending him in the way I was until he starts making a statement at board level.
I know it sounds naive but I do think if Usmanov were to come things would move on though. He is unhappy with the lack of ambition at Arsenal, a side who are regular champions league contenders and have won several trophies since he's been there. I think that gives an indication of where he wants to be.
When the time comes for the options to buy out Kenwright et al come we will know for certain what Moshiri wants to do. I hope we see a significant move at that point. We may not though, and he may not even want to buy them out, who knows now.
