So for some reason it looks like Bayern won't hire Tuchel, can we atleast attempt it?
We have a manager in place.
I know what you're saying but we have got centre forwards. Rooney, DCL, Niasse, possibly Sandro would all be classed as centre forwards, so the idea that we don't have anyone doing the link up work and running the channels doesn't really hold up.
The problem is that none of them are currently good enough to be a consistent threat to the opposition. That's also why koeman said there was no point going further down the list than his first couple of options - he didn't just want someone to be a nominal striker, he wanted one out of the top drawer, so when he couldn't get one he decided to stick with what he had.
If you think all we're lacking is a striker then I don't think you've been paying attention. We lack balance, width, pace, chemistry, creativity and urgency. We have big problems at centre half and full back, our central midfielders are badly out of form and our wingers aren't wingers. A goal scorer would certainly help, but it wouldn't even come close to solving our problems.
Do you have a point or are you attempting to imitate the games by being boring as possible?
Yeah I agree that the striker issue was a complete balls up, absolutely. I probably think Koeman is a little bit more involved than you do but generally I agree with the point.I have a completely different opinion. I dont think Koeman has that much of a say in negotiating deal bar liking or not likeing a player. I think very clearly the strikers we have were signed with different cavets attached and being now asked to play different roles, DCL is a young player and of course needs space and time to develop, he clearly isnt ready to play a full PL season leading the line, Roony was signed as a 10 in my opinion, Niasse we know isnt wanted and Sandro i think was bought for potential in the understanding their would be an adjustment period. All the chips lay on and planning was based on a system of having a focal point and primary expierenced proven centre forward. I think recruitment was as well. Koeman is now now trying to dig a whole with shovel on a spade.
The club is culpable in that they knew in March Lukaku was gone, that is more then six months to get some deal done. Not mess around with a couple of days late in the window. Heads need to roll but they are not Koemans.
This scenario has inffected the club with a lack of confidence, every single player is playing with a lack of confidence that they are a team playing with out a striker because that is what we are. Its sucked the confidence out of all the players.
I also disagree that we are not making chances, we are making chances, we made loads against Burnley, when the ball gets into the danger area there is no cutting edge and we have players with pocession with no one to pass it to. we also have players taking mad shots from 50 meteres out because they know there is nothing upfornt.
What we have doen this summer is the most idotic thing i can think of in recent years that a football club has done. Spend 150+ mill on players and no one to score a goal.
Its the height of idiocy. Totally down to the club. I have a lot of sympathy for Koeman.
Walker and Smith had songs? Really? Must have passed me by.I can't believe anyone can defend him, we've won two away games since January, can't remember us dominating a full 90 mins, we are atrocious for 45 of most games, we play Zombie football, he's the only manager I havnt heard a song for in 40 years of watching Everton, I have never wanted a manager gone more than him

I've never heard any songs about Walker or Smith, but OK. Even Martinez got one.I can't believe anyone can defend him, we've won two away games since January, can't remember us dominating a full 90 mins, we are atrocious for 45 of most games, we play Zombie football, he's the only manager I havnt heard a song for in 40 years of watching Everton, I have never wanted a manager gone more than him
Get Sparky in.
