You made some very bold statements in that post so it's fine.

Khal, you’re way off. For starters Mike Walker almost got us relegated. And correct me if I’m wrong was he not there to oversee the win that kept us up (however that happened). So in theory he was given time, because the bullet could have been pulled a lot sooner.
He had us on a massive decline and the board took the decision. We lost 9 of 17 in 93/94 then he was backed in the summer and we lost 8 of about 12 before being replaced.
And HK mk3 was not that easy and everyone knows it, there was a lot of off the field stuff going on.
Point still stands though, there’s a handful of people on here who’ll be praying we get beat so they can climb out of their drains and start listing all the foreign managers that they want
It was January.
With a last minute winner versus Palace.
And yet many round these parts are confident of victory at Brighton.
Though their numbers are dwindling rapidly![]()

As I have always maintained 3 seasons is the generally accepted timescale to judge a manager( barring imminently disaster of course). You seem to be placing a time limit of 1 season and 2 months on this judgement, will this apply to all future managers?Or some of us who realise weve wasted 1.5 years on Valencias 'Mike Walker'' (if you class mike walker as the worst manager in our history).
AS for all these home records people keep posting about...check when we last won away in the league.

You make some very valid points there mate.
However without comparing the current games won, lost, drawn, points etc to the short lived Walker reign, the way the team are currently playing is so similar to his team it's frightening.
The team appears to have collapsed, same as Walkers.
It's like watching a kids footy match, where some of the kids just stop playing after the fifth goal goes in against them.
The realty is that we're in a lot of trouble and I don't think Koeman is the man to get us out of it, having got us into it in the first place.
So has he left like all the ITKs have said?
I always felt it was, but it's a fairly sensible criteria nonetheless. First season (usually) firefighting and assessing. Second season ,generally regarded as potentially the most difficult with the introduction of new players and possibly new playing style. Third season it's all his and should be ready to perform from day one. However if we are to condense this into just over one season, at least we should have the excitement of a new manager every season. So youre making up numbers now and saying theyre 'generally accepted'.
lol
Anyone who thinks the state the club team and manager is on par with the Walker disaster clearly wasnt there!

Sorry if this has been posted already, work has been nuts and I'm also not quite sure where to put this but I think it's a good read with some interesting ideas. The emphasis on using Lennon out wide right until Coleman is back for the defensive contribution is an especially compelling argument for me at least. Also, as bad as things are if you look at the final lineup with Coleman and Bolasie back it looks pretty damn good. Add a striker and CB in the winter and it looks good. Can Koeman actually quit being so dang stubborn is the question
Must be easy being an ITK, just make stuff up and put "rumour is" or "I'm hearing" in front of it and that's it. Might start a twitter page just for jarg rumours and make a fortune off advertising, sounds like someone we know... lol good for a laugh isn't it mate!
I agree with the theory of that, but it won't always work in practice. As I have always maintained 3 seasons is the generally accepted timescale to judge a manager( barring imminently disaster of course).
