I don't disagree, and it was a fun season. But we had it in our hands and messed it up.

We didn't have a Champions League qualifying season though...because we didn't qualify for the Champions League.

Sorry if this has been posted already, work has been nuts and I'm also not quite sure where to put this but I think it's a good read with some interesting ideas. The emphasis on using Lennon out wide right until Coleman is back for the defensive contribution is an especially compelling argument for me at least. Also, as bad as things are if you look at the final lineup with Coleman and Bolasie back it looks pretty damn good. Add a striker and CB in the winter and it looks good. Can Koeman actually quit being so dang stubborn is the question

Read that this morning...whoever wrote it seems totally clueless + his writing style Is like an American college kid.

Khal, you’re way off. For starters Mike Walker almost got us relegated. And correct me if I’m wrong was he not there to oversee the win that kept us up (however that happened). So in theory he was given time, because the bullet could have been pulled a lot sooner.

He had us on a massive decline and the board took the decision. We lost 9 of 17 in 93/94 then he was backed in the summer and we lost 8 of about 12 before being replaced.

And HK mk3 was not that easy and everyone knows it, there was a lot of off the field stuff going on.

Point still stands though, there’s a handful of people on here who’ll be praying we get beat so they can climb out of their drains and start listing all the foreign managers that they want

last seasons home form was good but we had a top striker now not replaced remind me who fetched Lukaku to our club?

Well, that sure is a novel way of looking at it but I see the logic in it....sort of :)

Which begs the question how much time Ronald is to be given, considering we appear to be on the verge of freefalling into the relegation zone when play commences again after this darned international break.

At the moment, I cannot see us beating Brighton and then we have Arsenal at home, a match we know the head honcho at the club dies not "expect" to win.

And there lies the big difference between then and now, Chris.

Even Peter Johnson had did not limit his vision to us only being "expected" to win certain games :(

I have no doubt Koeman will limp along, so long as we are not in the bottom six when the relegation dogfight begins in earnest.

Because it appears now that merely staying in the EPL is the brief he was given by Moshiri :(

And that us why it is mad anyone actually wanting us to lose in order to oust Koeman.

He will be gone in May anyway....so let's hood we are still in the top flight when he does :pint2:

Or some of us who realise weve wasted 1.5 years on Valencias 'Mike Walker'' (if you class mike walker as the worst manager in our history).

AS for all these home records people keep posting about...check when we last won away in the league.

It was January.

With a last minute winner versus Palace.

And yet many round these parts are confident of victory at Brighton.

Though their numbers are dwindling rapidly :(
