I'm not convinced he's ready to be a regular starter but I just don't understand how he isn't getting 10-20 minutes towards the end of games. I feel he could have made a real difference today running at tired defenders. Our substitutions seemed to decrease the pace in the side.

When Unsworth takes the reigns, Lookman will get plenty of game time along with Davies, Kenny and our other good youth. It'll be a breath of fresh air that'll get us results.

He’s like mirallas in that he’ll play out wide but will mostly cut inward rather than going to the touch line and crossing it in.

Please don't compare him to Mirallas.....it's been a bad enough day already.

I'd definitely give him the odd 20 minutes here and there but it's not a massive deal that he isn't playing.

He's erratic, likely to skip easily past a defender and run straight into the next one, or chip a delicate ball through for DCL to score, or put a blistering left foot shot into the top corner of the net , or run down a blind alley. At the right time he could come on and be a match winner for us, particularly if he knew what game plan we were playing , he's shown for Englandu20/21s that he can be quite disciplined when asked to play in a particular way.

His pace would be useful especially away, it's weird Koeman has an aversion to width and pace this year. I presume if Bolasie was fit he'd be playing so is it simply about experience?Is that why he wants dad's army on the pitch at all times?
