Goodison atmosphere

Its been on the downside for atleast 3 years now. I remember even during Moyes' difficult times there Goodison's atmosphere was rocking. After Martinez' 1st season and his encouraging words about our ambition combined with one or two good signings we thought we maybe have a right to win every game and now success is just around the corner when Mosh came in. Even at the start of the game the intimidating Goodison noise has gone down. This needs to change.

I hate these types of threads.

The atmosphere is generated by the quality of football on the pitch, end of debate.

Do you want us to turn into some wool club who bang drums, regardless of the score line, to generate an atmosphere?

Or, we could sing an Everton song at the end of the game, just like Liverpool with Walk On, to show what super fans we are.

Forced fun

This sort of thing happens at all the top clubs i don't really understand it those supporters haven't have to witness this perennial sh!t for years
the goodison faithful have

Non-existent. Full of people whinging. I know were poor at the minute but I'm sure people get some joy out of tearing in to our own players.

This is not making an excuse for Koeman or the players because its been nowhere near good enough. This is a totally separate issue and has been for a good few years now. Too many fans waiting to turn against their own team at the first sign of them struggling. Baffles me to be honest, and the atmosphere is quite embarrassing compared to a lot of other teams. Genuinely, is there a more negative crowd in the league? Its like our fans think we have a god given right to beat lesser opposition.

Its frustrating because on the increasingly rare occasions where Goodison is up for it the team invariably turn up, goodison turns into a bear pit and we get good results.
Nailed.
Said this before, a team needs confidence, and that comes from supporters.
Modern football has too many fans, and not enough supporters.
A fan is someone who just wants their ego boosting by reflected glory, so it turns ugly when they're disappointed.
I'm embarrassed by the crowds at the moment - they're more responsible for our lack of confidence than any manager.
