Beer, revisited

I once tried their Porter (or it may have been a Stout) in the Butchers in Allerton and it was very good, but that's it from what I can recollect.

Strange as well when you consider that they're only from Formby. Do they regularly sell it in Rigby's?

It looked like it was on permanently, as there was three pumps slap bang in the middle of the bar, next to the Oakells stuff.

I'll bumble up that way before the game on Thursday to sample some. I miss Oakells as I would frequently drink it in the Fly when I frequented it.

Brew Dog's Nanny State is the best I've found.

Tried it. Not bad I suppose but I prefer tonic water to low alcohol beer.

My new fave is one I found last week - Straffe Hendrik quadrupel Belgian ale. 11% and tasty as fup

Is anyone going to the Beer Festival at St. George's Hall this weekend? I've been let down for 4 tickets tomorrow, basically a mate booked us on the Saturday one by mistake and has left it too late to change the tickets to the Friday evening session - its' sold out now! Nightmare as it was the only day that we were all free... :-( If anyone can find any spares for the Friday evening session, give me a heads up fellas
