this player was the start of it Gana was doing great on his own - then we bought a similar player like Snides for big money and wages now we have propagated a whole similar midfield ahead of them with no width!
Blowing all the income we received!

Still wondering why he is first on the team sheet. Drop him and let Gueye cover the defence. Dropping MS will let Gueye clean up lose balls and allow us to play an extra striker.

You're probably right. He's actually a waste of a player on the pitch right now given how little he's offering. The worst thing I can say about him is that he's reminding me of Cleverley.

Agree he's on that level. McCarthy if fit would actually offer more in terms of running with the ball which is something we seriously lack.

You can definitely see why United wanted rid. Given how ridiculous transfer fees went this summer we can only be relieved we didn't spend £40m.

McCarthy would at least unsettle the opposition and make it more difficult to play around us.

At least Cleverley looked like he's trying. This cat's got his last contract on over a hundred grand a week and it'll take a controlled explosion to get him out the door now. A criminal waste of money especially when he knew Davies was coming through

A good player who has lost his way in the chaotic crowd scene that passes for a formation under our world-class manager.

I don't think anything going on with the formation can be an excuse for his performances. He's in his preferred position. He has to go out and dictate the play. That's his job and he's not doing it.

Purely imo, this is a post just trying to divert any criticism from a Gwladys Street darling.

Martina.
Williams.
Baines.
Kev.
Jags.
DCL.

The list of those who can be criticised when they are tosh is endless. Schneiderlin isn't allowed to be, I imagine because of his boss wife.

He isn't fulfilling any of his duties at the moment. The huge volume of midfielders ahead of him has nothing to do with him not taking the ball off Williams and dictating play, which he is currently refusing to do.

Stop defending him mate, his current form and demeanour doesn't deserve it.

He looks unfit and gave up too easily yesterday. Hopefully he is just another victim of our system right now.

Rewatching the extended highlights, the amount of times players run past/in behind him is shocking for a defensive midfielder, he doesn't even look to see where they are. Has to improve massively this season for me.

For a team that plays two defensive mids, attacking midfielders seem to find it terribly easy to pick the ball up in the space between our defence and midfield.
