2017/18 Morgan Schneiderlin

Awful this season. Only wants to play it backwards. Can see why Mourinho flogged him. If his form doesn't pick up he needs dropping.

Not sure Gana and Schneiderlin complement each other which baffles me as I thought they would and don't offer the defence the proper protection and that is essentially what they are there for. One needs pushing up if they are insistent on playing both at the same time.

It's dead easy blaming the manager for everything but I doubt he's told him to only pass sideways, never go forward and lose the ball whenever possible.

Is there a game plan though?

We appear to be just lashing a load of captains on the pitch in the hope that they lead us to victory. The blend is dreadful so the players perform badly.

Most of the game playing so deep he looked like a CB, f he didn't play it backwards it was a pass on the spin without looking

If he was that deep his passes would e been to the keeper. He has no bottle, same as many as our squad safe/pointless pass after safe/pointless pass. Pick up or [Poor language removed] os my message to him. Every bit as bad as Klassen this season.

Definitely an issue with how we set up but,

This lad's job is to stop passes getting in to the opposition strikers with time to run at our back 4. He isn't as mobile as Gana so he's got to constantly read the game, keep tabs on what's going on behind him (does he need to slide right or left to cut off the pass etc).

When we do have it, especially the full backs and the centre backs, he should be constantly creating angles, showing for the ball, taking responsibility. He should want it ALL the time. If he gets man marked, he needs to take that marker into areas of the pitch they don't want to go.

Today, Spurs pressed us high. Fine. But that's not an excuse for him not to get our front players in the game. He had no desire to take the game by the scruff of the neck today.

He's meant to be our best centre midfielder in possession. Yet he never wants the ball.

Players who aren't capable don't bother me. Idle bells like this lad who obviously have the quality but cba or don't want to apply it drive me bat-something crazy.
