Summer Transfer Window 2017

Hold on...

Its pretty clear we are in desperate need for an out and out number 9. I don't believe Lucas Perez is anywhere near what we should be looking at.

However if you'll read between the lines, its not essentially the lack of quality from the two I mentioned. Its merely the fact that we are hours away from the window closing until January (a window you rarely do good business in) and its clear we are absolutely brasic !!

Brasic meaning we will only afford a Shane Long or a Sam Vokes...... Lucas Perez.

Or the players we want don't want to come here/are not available which is a slight problem.

Good starting 11 ayy.

Pickford
Coleman Keane Jageilka Baines
Gana Snides Klaassen
Rooney Barkley Sigurdsson

Gana and Snides can stop the width by breaking opponent ankles and we can just dominate from midfield.

Mate we have to BUY A striker not a loan this isn't the past and if moshri doesn't bloody buy one today.... Then it's another strong and called for debate

No we don't. We need to buy the right striker not any striker. If we bring a stop gap on loan and use the money in January or even next summer, so be it.

Have a look around, there isn't that many great strikers that clubs are willing to sell. The only one was Giroud but he didn't want to leave.

I was dead serious. He is literally our best option outside of DCL right now. Could be a handy false 9 player.

If we don't sell him (WRD seems to imply that Koeman and him have improved their relationship), I wouldn't be surprised if Koeman tries a few different options in order to get him into the lineup.

Arsenal should bite their hand off.
Sanchez will sulk and ruin their season.
Yea they really should accept, but probably know they can squeeze a little more money out of City, so why not. 100 million for Sanchez and Oxlade-Chamberlain ain't bad business, but they should be re-investing it into their first team.

How many times have we said ok We will loan one and the buy one in Jan? It's not a good time for players then. so the player on loan would have to be to end of the season atleast. And then it's finding the money down kenwrights couch.

Not signing a striker could be a blessing in diguise. Barkley gets fit, plays as a striker. Bangs them in, signs a new contract. And we spend the budget on stealing a disgruntled Laurent Koscienly in January when he realises Arsenal are sitting 13th and doomed.

All focus should now be on a good cover. Trent Sainsbury anyone?

I do think Perez is alright but a loan deal suggests that our primary targets are currently unattainable, for one reason or another.

We werent going to replace Lukaku like-for-like, either in terms of fee or quality. I think most accept that.

A club like us cannot sell for £75M and replace like that.

But then there is a whole galaxy of players below that tier that we could have signed and gotten us 12-15 goals, more even, or at least the potential to grow into a truly great striker.

It should not come down to scrambling arounnd for loans at the bargain basement end of the market, on players of dubious quality.

No excuses will wash.
