Perez loan bid is the very definition of a panic move from a club that has ran out of ideas, have no money, or both.

Think both Perez and Vermaelen would be an indication we cannot get who we want... rather than spend stupid money on players we don't rate, we are leaving funds available for January should things change.

Spot on. You can win one and lose two, and you'll have the same amount of points if you draw three games 0-0. This defensive improvement as well seems to have come at the cost of attacking fluidity. One goalkeeper, three centre backs and two holding midfielders leaves 5 more spots for creative, attack minded outfield players. I just don't think our personnel are good enough to create and score that many goals. Not to mention we currently have people playing at wing back who just don't suit it.

Personnel wise, we have a far better goalkeeper and one better centre half- but we're being forced into three at the back because nobody wants to see only one of Jagielka or Williams paired with Keane. That would be suicidal. Quite frankly the manager doesn't know his best team, best formation, best tactics and doesn't even have all the pieces yet with less than 12 hours to go in the transfer window.

Good summary. All the best managers keep it simple and make sure they have a strong spine to the team, then you build from there. Most important thing then this summer was to get in goalie, two centre halves and two strikers. We've only managed 3 out of those 5 but yet we've spent approx £87 million on other players. Koeman has got his priorities and spending all wrong in my opinion.
